The aircraft of SpiceJet Airline left for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai with 75 passengers and crew members from Kandla Airport in Gujarat.

Although the incident took place while flying from Kandla Airport in Gujarat on the aircraft, but still the aircraft continued its journey and safely landing in Mumbai. The Mumbai Airport official said, “Despite a serious threat in the air, the aircraft itself reached the terminal while taxi and the passengers got off the aircraft without any untoward incident.”

SpiceJet spokesperson said in an official statement about the incident, “On September 12, an outer wheel of a Q400 aircraft of SpiceJet going from Kandla to Mumbai was found on the runway. Nevertheless, the aircraft continued its journey and reached Mumbai and made a safe landing. After a safe landing at Mumbai Airport, the aircraft reached the terminal taxi with its strength and all the passengers landed normally.

Airports Authority of India: 32 airports closed during Operation Sindoor will be reopened. This information was given by the Airport Authority on Monday (May 12, 2025) by the Airport Authority. AAI has issued a notice (notem) to Airmen to open 32 airports in the northern and western parts of the country.

Among these airports, Adhampur, Ambala, Amritsar, Avantipur, Bathinda, Bhuj, Bikaner, Chandigarh, Halwara, Hindon, Jaisalmer, Jammu, Jamnagar, Jodhpur, Kandla, Kangra (Gaggal), Keshod, Kishangarh, Kullu Manali (Bhuntar), Leh, Ludhiana, Mundra, Nodhiya, Nodhiya, Nodh Porbandar, Rajkot (Hirasar), Sarsawa, Shimla, Srinagar, Thois and Uttaralai were included.
