Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh may be held in 2027. But political parties have already started making electoral noise. The new name of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has also been added to it. Asaduddin Owaisi’s brother and MLA Akbaruddin announced to hoist his party’s flag in Uttar Pradesh also. Owaisi did not stop here and challenged the current Chief Minister of UP Yogi Adityanath and said that he will show his strength in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections and hoist the party flag.

What did Akbaruddin say?
During the public meeting, Akbaruddin said, “In this country, the one who applies Tilak on his forehead has the same right as the one who puts a cap on his head. This country belongs to everyone. We too have made sacrifices and have been crucified for this country, but today it is only about Hindus and Muslims. Is the issue of the country only about Hindus and Muslims? O foolish ones, the biggest issue of this country is unemployment, if it is the biggest issue of this country then That’s due to inflation. There are no roofs on the houses here, no clean water to drink and many houses don’t even have electricity.”

Challenge given to CM Yogi
While addressing the public meeting in Nizamabad, Akbaruddin Owaisi also challenged Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and said, “Mr. Yogi, I am coming to UP, get ready, now we will plant the party flag in UP also. We all will go to UP and plant our strength and our flag in UP and wave our flag there too.”

Who is Akbaruddin Owaisi?
Akbaruddin Owaisi is a big leader of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM). He is the brother of AIMIM chief Asaduddin. Owaisi is currently an MLA and has reached the Assembly by winning elections from Chandrayangutta seat of Hyderabad for 6 consecutive times. In 2023, he has also been made the Protem Speaker of Telangana Assembly. His 15-minute statement has been controversial. In 2012, at a rally in Adilabad, he had said, “If the police are withdrawn for 15 minutes, 25 crore Muslims will show how powerful they are compared to 100 crore Hindus.”
