These days Akshay Kumar is in discussion about the film ‘Bhoot Bangla’. It was released in theaters on 17 April. With this film, the pair of him and Priyadarshan have made a comeback after 14 years. The film has also received tremendous response from the audience and critics. The movie had a great start at the box office. Meanwhile, Akshay has revealed interesting facts related to his career. He told that about 38 years ago he used to earn Rs 5000 per month.

Actually, Akshay Kumar recently participated in Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast. During this, he talked openly about his films, his comeback with Priyadarshan after 14 years and his early career. In this conversation, the actor told that he had come to the film industry to earn money and when he came, he did not know how it works.

Akshay Kumar used to earn Rs 5000 38 years ago

Talking about his life before coming into films, Akshay Kumar says, ‘When I started working, I came into the industry to earn money. Why? Because I had an accident, after which I felt that there is a lot of money here. I used to teach martial arts to children and I used to earn approximately Rs 4000-5000. I am talking about 1987-88. Only then I used to earn Rs 5000 per month. Then someone told me why don’t you do modeling? I asked him what is this modeling? Then he gave me the address and I went there.

Got Rs 21000 for posing with a girl – Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar further explains, ‘When I reached there, I came to know that it was modeling of a furnishing showroom. I sat down. Then a beautiful girl came and sat next to him. I am telling the truth. I didn’t know anything at that time. I was asked to put my hand on the girl’s waist. Then when asked to look in front of the camera, I did as he asked. I posed with the girl. It was an AC room and after that they gave me a check of Rs 21000. I thought I had done an amazing job. I thought I would earn Rs 5000. He paid me so much money in just 2 hours of posing with the girl. Did something amazing. Then from there I felt that I can do this and started modeling.

Made debut with Saugandh

Akshay Kumar told that initially he had no knowledge about films but while working, he started enjoying it. This aroused his interest in the film industry. It is noteworthy that Akshay Kumar made his debut in films with ‘Saugandh’ (1991) and along with his looks, his acting and action were also liked by the people. In the initial phase he was called Khiladi Kumar and Action King. Regarding this, the actor said that he was bored with it, hence he left action films and started trying his hand in comedy and other genre films.
