Faridabad based Al Falah University is once again in the headlines these days. Since the name came up in the investigation of terrorist module, fear can be clearly seen among the students studying and employees working on the campus. The situation is such that some students have returned home as a precaution.

An MBBS student, on condition of anonymity, said that most of the students are still on the campus. Classes are also continuing, but it is all just a formality. No one is able to focus completely. It is being said that security has been increased inside the campus, due to which the atmosphere seems more tense.

Uneasiness increased due to action of Delhi Police

The situation became more serious on Monday morning when Delhi Police issued two summons to the President of Al Falah University. These summons have been sent for questions related to the ongoing investigation of the Faridabad terrorist module case. Apart from this, investigation into two cases of forgery and fraud already registered against the university is also going on.

Due to police questioning and frequent visits of officials, there is unusual activity on the campus, which has further increased the anxiety of students and staff.

Uncertainty increased on campus

In the current situation, the biggest question is what direction the investigation will take and how much impact it will have on the future of the university. Students are saying that they are not able to concentrate on their studies, while the staff are facing difficulties in handling administrative activities. Al Falah University is going through a period of tension and uncertainty these days.

About 9 companies are registered under his trust, which were doing business related to education, software, financial services and energy sectors. All these companies were registered at the same address in Delhi and most were active till 2019. After this many were closed or became inactive.

Javed Siddiqui did B.Tech from Devi Ahilya University, Indore. About 25 years ago, he came to Delhi-NCR from Mhow in Indore and settled in Faridabad. Initially he opened an engineering college, after which he established Al-Falah University.

According to ED sources, the investigation is moving towards whether fund diversion or money laundering was done through Al-Falah Charitable Trust and its associated companies. According to experts, if a university tries to give admission to students by showing fake recognition, then it falls in the category of fraud. NAAC is taking this matter very seriously and after investigation, strict action may be taken against the organization.

Al-Falah University in controversy

The name of Al-Falah University was also recently linked to the Delhi blast case. According to the investigating agencies, the accused Dr. Umar, who was killed in the blast, was an assistant professor in this university. After his association with terrorism, many questions were already raised on the university and now this action of NAAC can give a further blow to the credibility of the institution.
