Islamic country Pakistan is once again going to sell liquor to the world after many decades. After more than 50 years of ban, Pakistan’s liquor company named Murree Brewery has got permission to export liquor abroad. Let us tell you that at present there are many bans on selling, buying and drinking liquor in Pakistan.

The production of liquor has increased in the factory located in Rawalpindi. Murree Brewery was started in British India in 1860 for the soldiers. After Pakistan became a separate country, strict rules regarding liquor were made during the time of Zulfikar Bhutto. However, despite all the strict rules, this company is running in Pakistan.

Who is the owner of Murree Brewery?
Mari Brewery is run by Isfanyar Bhandara, who is the third generation of his family to run the business. Pakistani MP Isfanyar comes from the Parsi community. His family has a significant influence in Pakistan’s politics and business. He says that getting permission to export is a matter of great happiness for the company. He said that my grandfather and father tried to get an export license, but they could not get it. After years of lobbying and efforts to remove the export ban, they have achieved significant success.

There is a liquor factory near Munir’s house.
Bhandara told that the red-brick liquor factory of Mari, built in the mountains, is now running in Rawalpindi. This factory is near the house of Army Chief Asim Munir, which is one of the most secure places in Pakistan. Before the export ban, Mari used to sell its products to neighboring India and Afghanistan as well as Gulf countries and America. Bhandara says that currently his aim is to explore new markets and establish his foothold in the world.

How did it start?
Murree Brewery, named after the hill town of Murree in Pakistan, was started during the British era. This is the oldest and largest liquor company of Pakistan. The company produces many beverages like beer, whiskey, vodka and juice. Mari Brewery has been operating for decades in an Islamic country where alcohol is illegal for everyone except non-Muslims.

Let us tell you that Pakistan had banned liquor for Muslims in the 1970s. In such a situation, out of the country’s population of 24 crore, only about 90 lakh people can buy liquor legally.

Due to this disease, a wound is formed on the liver. It is one of the most fatal diseases of the liver due to which there is the highest risk of liver cancer.

Liver cancer prevention

• Hepatitis B virus is the biggest cause of liver cancer. Its vaccine is given in 3 doses and gives 95% protection.
• Drinking alcohol for a long time is the biggest cause of liver cirrhosis and ultimately cancer. Reducing or quitting alcohol protects the liver.
• Reduce fried, sugar and high fat foods. Control your weight, walk for 30 minutes daily so that fatty liver does not form.
• Hepatitis B/C is spread through unsafe needles or contaminated blood, which later causes cancer.
• If you already have hepatitis, alcoholism, fatty liver or cirrhosis, get your liver checked every 6–12 months.

The research involved nearly 4,000 people who developed bowel cancer, and the risk of cancer increased especially among women who started smoking at the age of 16 or younger and continued smoking for a long time. This is a clear indication that women’s bodies can be more sensitive to the harmful effects of tobacco.

Why is the risk of cancer higher in girls who smoke alcohol and cigarettes?

There may also be biological reasons behind the higher risk of cancer in girls who smoke alcohol and cigarettes. For example, in women, certain enzymes and hormones such as estrogen affect the metabolism of harmful substances released from tobacco smoke. This is the reason that even if women smoke less cigarettes, the risk of cancer appears to be higher than that of men. Research also shows that exposure to these active cigarettes i.e. smoke from others has a greater impact on girls.

Alcohol and cigarette smoking not only increases the risk of lung and bowel cancer in girls, but also increases the risk of heart disease, emphysema and other serious diseases. Along with this, lung cancer is twice more common in women than in men. Research also makes it clear that quitting cigarettes is the most effective solution for health. Women who stop smoking alcohol and cigarettes by the age of 30, the risk of tobacco-related diseases is almost eliminated. Apart from this, regular checkups, healthy diet, exercise and avoidance of harmful chemicals help in reducing the risk of cancer in women.
