Australia has strengthened its hold on the second Ashes Test. In this match being played at Gabba, Australia has scored 378 runs at the loss of 6 wickets by the end of the second day’s play. Australia is currently ahead by 44 runs in the first innings, because England’s first innings was reduced to 334 runs. On the second day, captain Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne and Jack Weatherald scored half-centuries for the Kangaroo team.

England increased their score to 325/9 on the second day. The English team had added only 9 runs to the scoreboard, then Archer was out after scoring 38 runs. England’s first innings was limited to 334 runs. Joe Root returned unbeaten after scoring 138 runs.

Second test in the hands of Australia

In the absence of Usman Khawaja, Travis Head started the Australian innings along with Jack Weatherald. There was an opening partnership of 77 runs between the two. Head was out after scoring 33 runs, but Weatherald scored 72 runs playing at a strike rate of 92. Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith took the lead, but when Labuschagne was out after scoring 65 runs, Australia lost the third wicket at the score of 196.

The England team seemed to be in a comeback mood, but then Smith and Green made a partnership of 95 runs. At one time, Australia had scored 291 runs at the loss of 3 wickets, but meanwhile, Brydon Carse brought England back into the match by taking the wickets of Cameron Green and Steve Smith in the same over. Ben Stokes gave the sixth blow to Australia by clean bowling Josh English.

Now Alex Carey and Michael Neser are becoming a problem for England. Their partnership of 49 runs for the seventh wicket seems to be very heavy for England.

Stokes and Kars got beaten up a lot.

On the second day, England’s bowlers were also beaten badly. Later Stokes bowled well, but at one time his economy rate was touching around 7. Stokes has taken 2 wickets so far, but has given away 93 runs in 17 overs. On the other hand, Brayden Kars has given away 113 runs in 17 overs and has also taken 3 wickets.

MS Dhoni was one of the greatest wicketkeepers in cricket history. The record of the most stumping in international cricket is his name, who stumped a batsman 195 times in his career. In 2016, a stumping against Australia had increased the stature of Dhoni as a wicketkeeper. Australian player Alex Carrie, remembering that incident, described MS Dhoni as Genius.

This is on January 29, 2016, when India and Australia’s T20 match was played in Melbourne. The Australian team was chasing a target of 185 runs. James Faulkner came to batting on number-7 and scored 10 runs. In the 17th over, Ravindra Jadeja came to bowling, on the last ball of which the ball took the inner edge of Faulkner’s bat, after which the ball hit Dhoni’s pad and hit the stumps. Dhoni’s eye was so fast that he appealed for the stump to see Faulkner’s leg rising in the air and he was really dismissed.

Dhoni is genius …

The ball took the edge of James Faulkner’s bat, then went through the stumps after Dhoni hit the pad. It seems a coincidence to see all this because this whole incident happened in just a moment. Still Alex Carrie believes that Dhoni actually wanted the ball to hit the stumps.

A video clip has been shared on social media by Cricket Australia, in which Alex Carrie said, “Dhoni is a genius, he probably wanted to do the same. He did this intentionally, because he is MS Dhoni.”

On the second day of the ICC World Test Championship Final, Australia maintained their dominance, first Pat Cummins created history with 6 wickets. After this, when Australia’s second innings was shattered, Alex Carrie shared a 61 -run partnership with Mitchell Starc and brought his team into a strong position. Shortly before the end of the day’s play, Marco Jansen left an easy catch of Stark. Australia currently has a lead of 218 runs. Know what happened on the second day.

5 wickets fell under 12 runs

The first wicket of the day fell as Tempa Bavuma, he played an important innings of 36 runs. Pat Cummins made him his victim. David Bedingham scored the highest innings of 45 runs for South Africa. South Africa’s last 5 wickets fell within 12 runs. Africa had 5 wickets for 126 runs and the entire team collapsed for 138 runs.

 Pat Cummins created history

Cummins took 6 wickets for 28 runs in a spell of 18.1 overs. He made a record in his name, he has jointly become the second bowler to take the highest 5 wicket hall in Tests. He has done this 9 times. Cummins also completed his 300 Test wickets during this period. He became the 8th Australian bowler to do so.

 Australia scattered in second innings

Australia’s second innings deteriorated. The first wicket fell as Usman Khwaja (6) at 28, he was hunted by Kagiso Rabada. After this, Australia lost 7 wickets for 73 runs. Cameron Green was dismissed for zero, Steve Smith was run by Lungi Angidi on a score of 13. The first innings hero BU webster was dismissed by 9 runs. Travis Head also moved on a score of 9.

Alexi Carrie’s innings leads Australia 218 runs

It seemed that Australia would pile within 100 in the second innings, but Alex Carrie and Mitchell Starc saved Australia by a 61 -run partnership. Both added 61 runs for the eighth wicket. Shortly before the end of the day’s play, Carrie was lbw by Rabada, she played an important innings of 43 runs. Stark is unbeaten on 16 runs. By the end of the second day’s play, Australia’s score is 144/8.

In the second innings, Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Enggidi have taken 3-3 wickets. Marco Jansen and Vian Mulder got 1-1 wickets. Now the pitch has slowed down, it showed that the ball is not getting much bounce. Many times it happened when the batsmen wanted to play the shot and the ball went to the slip with the edge but could not reach the fielder. While the fielders of the slip stood very close. South African bowlers would like to take the remaining 2 wickets as soon as possible on the second day.

Aus vs sa final day 2 highlights: Australia have scored 144 runs at the loss of 8 wickets by the end of the second day’s play in the World Test Championship final (WTC Final). Due to this, Australia’s total lead has been 218 runs. This increasing goal on the difficult pitch of Lord’s ground is increasing the concern of the South African team. It is worth noting that after 1984, no foreign team has chased a big target at Lord’s ground.

Australia leads 74 runs in first innings

By the end of the first day’s play, South Africa had scored 43 runs at the loss of 4 wickets. On the second day, South Africa carried out their innings in a strict style. There was a very important partnership of 64 runs between captain Tamba Bavuma and David Bedingham. Bavuma was showing a brilliant game, but Marnas Labushen caught him out of a wonderful catch and dismissed him on a score of 34. David Bedingham also went on scoring 45 runs. On the second day, the rest of the African batsmen could not do anything amazing, as a result the entire team was reduced to the score of 138.

Australia’s second innings

When Australia came to bat in the second innings, Kagiso Rabada once again broke down on the Kangaroo batsmen. Rabada gave a double blow to Australia, jerking the wicket of Usman Khwaja and Cameron Green in a single over. Marnas Labushen scored 22 runs this time, while Steve Smith, who scored fifty in the first innings, was dismissed for 13 runs this time. Bu Webster scored 72 runs in the first innings, but this time he also flopped.

Alex carrie became bone in kebabs

South Africa took 7 wickets of Australia on a scir of just 73 in the second innings. But wicketkeeper batsman Alex Carrie’s 43 -run innings became a bone in a kebab for South Africa, due to which he added 61 runs with Mitchell Starc. Where it was also difficult to score 100 runs in the second innings of Australia, but Australia has taken its total lead of 218 runs on the basis of Alex Carrie.

Alex Carey Opted out PSL 2025: The 10th season of Pakistan Super League has not even started yet, now another international player has withdrawn his name from the tournament. The first match of PSL 10 will be played between Islamabad United and Lahore Kalandars today. A few hours before the opening match of the tournament, a Pakistani media channel has reported that Australian wicketkeeper batsman Alex Carrie has been ruled out of the tournament. He has withdrawn his name from the upcoming season of PSL due to domestic cricket.

Islamabad United has won the 3 -time Pakistan Super League title and will go down to defend its title in PSL 10. Pakistani media channel Geo News reported that Alex Carry will not be a part of PSL 10. Recall that Alex Carrie was brought as a replacement of South African cricketer Rasi Van Dausen. Now Islamabad United Franchisee will expect the van fear to return soon. His return has already been confirmed.

PSL 10 thrill will start from today

The tenth season of Pakistan Super League will be played from 11 April-18 May. The names of 6 teams participating in the tournament are Islamabad United, Lahore Kalandars, Peshawar Jalmi, Multan Sultan, Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings. A total of 34 matches will be played in this tournament, which lasts for about 5 weeks. Each team will face each other 2 times in the league stage, then they will have to travel to the final by crossing the challenge of eliminator and qualifier matches.

Islamabad United defeated Multan Sultan by 2 wickets in the final of PSL 2024 and won the Pakistan Super League title for the third time. Like last time, in PSL 2025, the Islamabad team will be captained by Pakistani all -rounder Shadab Khan. Recently, Pakistani cricketer Hasan Ali claimed that after the PSL starts, people will stop watching IPL. In such a situation, withdrawing the name of foreign players continuously from the tournament is like a big shock for PSL.
