I was in contact with his family and talked to his wife three times in Hooghly’s Rishra. Even today I called her. Even today I called him. On his son’s return home, father Bhola Nath Shaw said, “… I thank the Central and State Governments who released my son from Pakistan and brought him back to India … Now that my son is coming back, I would like him to serve the country once again …”

BSF spokesperson gave this big information

BSF has shared a picture of BSF jawan from the Attari-Wagah border, in which he can be seen with a beard, mustache and scattered hair. He is wearing a green t-shirt of round neck. Regarding this, BSF spokesperson said, “Constable Purnam Kumar Shaw has been handed over to BSF by Pakistan on the Attari-Wagah border at 10.30 am today. He went to Pakistan’s area inadvertently at around 11.50 pm while doing duty in Ferozepur sector on 23 April and Pak Rangers caught them.”
