Due to this, the scalp becomes dry and dandruff increases, hair roots become weak and hair fall increases, on top of that, washing hair repeatedly with hot water, over styling and lack of nutrition also increases hair fall. Therefore, we should take extra care of our hair in winter. Here are some remedies, by adopting which you can get rid of these problems to a great extent and the things included in these remedies are easily available in your home, so you will not have to work too hard.</p>

<p>People consume green tea, usually to lose weight, but you do not know that the green tea cover which you throw away as garbage after using it is very beneficial for hair growth. If you mix the remaining strip of that cover in hot water and apply it on your scalp and leave it for some time and then wash your hair thoroughly. Green tea is rich in anti-oxidants which increase hair growth and prevent hair fall.</p>
<h3><strong>Strengthen roots with onion juice</strong></h3>
<p>If you want to prevent hair fall then onion juice can help you a lot. Onion juice contains sulfur which helps in new hair growth by increasing collagen production. With this, the roots of your hair become stronger. Apply onion juice on the scalp for 20–25 minutes and then wash. Apply it 1 to 2 times a week.</p>

<p>To increase hair growth and prevent hair breakage, you should consume food products rich in iron and protein so that hair can be strengthened in winter. Including iron rich foods like spinach, fenugreek and broccoli, protein sources like pulses, soya, paneer, Omega 3 foods like almonds and walnuts, carrot and beetroot vegetables and blood enhancing foods like sesame jaggery in your daily diet strengthens the roots and reduces hair fall.</p>

<p>In winter, we take bath with hot water but if your hair is weak and breaking a lot then you should avoid pouring hot water on the head because hot water pulls out the moisture from the hair and makes it dry and lifeless, due to which the scalp becomes dry and there is also a risk of bacterial infection like dandruff in the head.</p>
<h3><strong>Coconut milk accelerates hair growth</strong></h3>
<p>Coconut milk is very effective for our hair growth. It contains sufficient amount of iron and potassium which strengthens the hair. Apply it well on your scalp and if possible, squeeze some lemon in coconut milk which will help in growing and strengthening the hair.</p>
