A major road accident occurred during the Amarnath Yatra in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. According to the information, 3 buses filled with pilgrims collided near Khudwani area on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway, in which more than 10 passengers were injured.

The accident occurred when the convoy of pilgrims going towards Baltal reached the Tachlu crossing. The injured were immediately rushed to the nearest hospital, where several passengers were referred to the Government Medical College (GMC), Anantnag after first aid.

A doctor at Kimoh Hospital said that nine pilgrims have been sent for further investigation and formalities in GMC Anantnag after first aid.
