Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei informed that the country has achieved advanced levels in Uranium Enrichment. Khameni said that while some countries promote Uranium up to 90% for the purpose of making nuclear weapons, Iran has limited it to only 60%. He clarified that Iran does not need nuclear weapons and his intention is never to make such weapons. This statement by Khameni sent a message that Iran is furthering its nuclear program for peaceful purposes.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Tuesday termed any kind of conversation with the US as ‘waste and harmful’ for the country. He said that in the present situation, talks with America will be against Iran’s interests and it will prove to be ‘dead-end’. Khamenei clarified that Iran does not need nuclear weapons and has no intention of producing them.

In his recorded message, he said that Iran will not bow before any external pressure, especially in terms of uranium enrichment. Khamenei said that the US wants Iran to leave its missile program, which includes moderate -distance missiles. He said, “Composing under pressure will be like surrender, and no respectable nation will accept it.”

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Aragachi said that Iran will continue talks with all concerned countries including Britain, France and Germany. In a statement issued after a meeting in New York, he said that Iran wants to continue the process of negotiating to prevent the United Nations’ old sanctions from being re -implemented. However, it was clear from Khamenei’s statement that the possibility of direct talks with America is now very low. He said, “America speaks the language of threats and pressure. In such a situation it is surrender to interact and the Iranian nation will never accept it.”

Iran on Trump: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has clarified that Iran has not yet accepted the ceasefire with Israel. Iran has dismissed US President Donald Trump’s statement in which he said that Iran has agreed to the agreement with the US and is going to have a talks between the two countries next week. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi clearly said that no such conversation is decided.

White House also made distance from Trump’s statement
Trump spoke of a meeting on 25 June during the NATO Summit in Hague, Netherlands. But the very next day, on 26 June, the press secretary of White House Caroline Levit made a statement that no meeting is scheduled between the US and Iran. He said that American messengers are in touch with countries like Qatar in the Middle East, but no negotiations can be confirmed.
