The 8.8 magnitude earthquake in Russia has shook the whole world. After the earthquake, a tsunami warning has been issued in the countries situated on the banks of the Pacific Ocean. Sea waves were seen rising rapidly in Alaska and Hawaii. However, it is not yet clear how high and how dangerous the tsunami waves will be. America’s emergency agencies are fully alert.

Waves have collided with the Alusian Islands, Kodiak and southeast coasts in western Alaska. There is no news of any major damage so far, but the danger is not averted yet. The Emergency Management Agency of Hawaii has feared havoc in coastal areas and has opened emergency shelters for people.

Tsunami alert issued in North America
A tsunami warning has been issued on the California coast of America from Hambolt to Oregon border. A similar warning has been given in Mexico. Tsunami advisory from the coastal areas of Hawaii, Washington and Oregon, South Alaska, Samalga Pass to Attu from Attu and Hambolt in California to Rinkon Point. Alert has been lifted in Alaskan Peninsula, East Aleautians and British Columbia.

Warning in many countries of South America
Tsunami has been directly warned in Chile, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Advisory continues in the Pacific coastal areas of Columbia and Galapagos Islands in Ecuador.

Danger alert on the islands of Oceania
Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Ua Huka of Marksas Islands, Nuku Hiva and Hiva Oa and Vanuatu have been issued danger alert. Advisory continues in Samoa while alert has been removed from Tonga, Fiji, Cook Islands, Guam, CNMI and American Samoa.

Status in Asia and Russia under control
The tsunami advisory continues on the Pacific coast of Japan. At the same time, warnings have been removed from Taiwan, Philippines, Shanghai and Jhejiang regions of China and other areas of Japan. The alert has also been terminated from Severo-Kurilsk of Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula, Sakhalin Island and North Kuril Islands.

Tsunami threat around the Pacific Ocean
Additional tremors are feared after the earthquake in the Pacific Ocean, which has placed the entire “Pacific Rim” on a tsunami watch. The tsunami warning is still effective for parts of Northern California. From the British Columbia in Canada to the US West Coast, the Pacific coastal region from Mexico has been placed under the tsunami advisory.
