His first film was the famous ‘Neecha Nagar’ (1946), directed by Chetan Anand. The film won the Grand Prix at the first Cannes Film Festival and is the only Indian film to date to win the Palme d’Or. Kamini Kaushal worked in films for many years and remained active till her last days. His last film was Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ released in 2022.
