Megastar of the century, Amitabh Bachchan had attended the screening of his grandson Agastya Nanda’s debut film ‘Ikkis’ in Mumbai last night. This film is going to be released in theaters on January 1, 2026, while before its release, a special screening of the film was hosted last night. After watching ‘Ikkis’, Amitabh Bachchan shared his review and praised his grandson Agastya and wrote that whenever he appeared on the screen, he could not take his eyes off him. He also said that he became emotional when the film ended and his eyes filled with tears of joy and pride.

On Tuesday morning, Amitabh Bachchan shared the review of his grandson Agastya’s film ‘Ikkis’ on his blog. He fondly recalled the journey from the birth of his grandson to his final decision to realize his dream of becoming an actor. Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “Emotions overflow… Same thing happened tonight when I saw my grandson performing brilliantly in ‘Ikkis’… The time when his mother Shweta was being taken to Breach Candy Hospital due to labor pain…

His birth… holding him a few hours later and discussing whether his eyes were blue… then when he grew a little and I held him in my arms, and he started playing with my beard… then his growth… then his final personal decision to become an actor, and tonight seeing him in the frame of a film, making it impossible to take my eyes off him every time he comes into the frame of the film.”

Big B praised Agastya Nanda’s acting
After this, Big B praised Agastya’s acting and said that it was not excessive anywhere, but was absolutely precise in every shot. He also clarified that his review was not from the perspective of a grandfather, but from the perspective of an experienced cinema viewer. He wrote, “His maturity, his fearless honesty in his acting, his presence that perfectly complements the character he plays… nothing artificial or pretentious, just Arun Khetarpal the soldier who fought bravely at the age of 21 to save the country during the India-Pakistan war of 1971… nothing excessive, just perfection in every shot… when he is in the frame you just see him… And this is not the opinion of a grandfather, this is the opinion of an experienced cinema watcher…”

Concluding his review, Amitabh Bachchan also praised the writing and direction of Sriram Raghavan’s film. He further said, “The presentation, writing and direction of the film are all impeccable.
