Khalin Joshi has won the Andhra Open Golf Championship 2026 played in Visakhapatnam. Joshi scored a two-under 69 to win the tournament with a prize money of Rs 1 crore, the seventh professional title of his golf career.

33 year old Khalin comes from Bengaluru. Khalin (68-68-70-69) won by a huge margin of four shots with a total score of nine-under 275. The win earned him prize money of ₹15 lakh and moved him from 55th to 12th in the 2026 DP World PGTI Order of Merit, while taking his season earnings to ₹18,13,875.

Chandigarh’s Akshay Sharma (70-70-74-65), who is a two-time winner on the tour. He shot a course record six-under 65 in the final round, jumping from 13th place to second place. Akshay finished runner-up with an overall score of five-under 279, four shots behind the winner.

Let us tell you that during the tournament, the par-5 seventh hole was changed to a par-4 of 477 yards, due to which the total par of the course became 71. Joshi started the final round with a three-shot lead at seven-under and shot a two-under 69 with five birdies and three bogeys to clinch the title. This was his first win in 44 months after Coimbatore in August 2022.

His final round was a mix of steady play and well-timed comebacks. After an initial bogey on the third hole, he immediately bounced back with a birdie on the fourth hole with a brilliant approach from 80 yards to 10 feet. He made another birdie on the eighth hole and maintained the lead with a crucial ‘up-and-down’ on the 12th hole. Despite a few bogeys on the back-nine, Joshi regained his momentum with a birdie on the 15th hole. Joshi, who had been leading since the second round, played brilliantly under pressure and ensured a memorable victory.

On his performance, Joshi said, “I was a little nervous, especially on the back-nine, but I remained calm and trusted my game. The start didn’t go the way I wanted, but I stuck to my approach and came back well. I’m proud of the way I maintained my composure under pressure and finished the round well. My ball-striking was strong all week. I controlled the air well, drove consistently and hit a lot of greens. Putting wasn’t my best, But hitting the greens was the difference.”

Runner-up Akshay Sharma’s course record final round 65 included seven birdies and one bogey. His five birdies came on the back-nine. Saptak Talwar (70-74-68-68), who is the current DP World PGTI Ranking leader and winner of the Indorama Ventures Open last month, finished tied third with Dubai’s Yash Majmudar (71-69-69-71) at four-under 280. Talwar made ₹5,49,800
Taking his total season earnings to ₹75,80,000 and further strengthening his lead in the rankings.

Majmudar, who uses a unique one-handed chipping technique, was playing his first tournament of the season after earning a tour card through qualifying school in January. Chandigarh’s Ajitesh Sandhu, who recently led Rajasthan Regals to victory in the first edition of ’72 The League, finished fifth at three-under 281. Angad Cheema, who last won the EPGC in 2024, finished tied sixth with Honey Baisoya, Rashid Khan and Manjot Singh at two-under 282.

The Tour will now move to the first edition of the ₹1 crore Boulders Classic to be played at the Boulder Hills Golf and Country Club in Hyderabad from April 14–17.
