Chakma lost his life in racist attack

Let us tell you that Angel Chakma, a 24 year old MBA student from Tripura, was racially attacked in the canteen. He was undergoing treatment in the hospital for 17 days and finally he died.

Angel collapsed on the spot with head and back injuries and was immediately taken to Graphic Era Hospital, where he was treated for more than 17 days and died from his injuries on December 26.

Following the complaint by Angel’s family, the police registered an FIR and formed a special team to investigate the case. Police have so far arrested 5 people, including 2 minors who have been sent to a juvenile home. The arrested people have been identified as Avnish Negi, Shaurya Rajput, Suraj Khawas, Sumit and Ayush Baroni. One suspect is currently absconding, who is suspected to have fled to Nepal. Police have announced a reward of Rs 25,000 for information leading to his arrest and a team has been sent to help locate him.
