Anil Ambani: Taking a big step against veteran businessman Anil Ambani and his Reliance Group, ED (Enforcement Directorate) on Friday attached assets worth more than Rs 3,000 crore. These include Ambani’s Pali Hill House in Bandra, Mumbai and other flats, plots and offices of Reliance Communication and Reliance Infrastructure Limited in other cities including Delhi, Noida, Mumbai, Goa, Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai.

The matter is related to alleged loan fraud. There has been no statement from Anil Ambani’s Reliance Group on this yet. According to sources, Ambani’s office in Hotel Ranjit, Reliance Center in Delhi is also one of the attached properties.

Loan of Rs 3000 crore received even before approval

An official, on condition of anonymity, said that assets worth about Rs 3000 crore have been temporarily seized as part of the money laundering investigation. However, Reliance Group has already denied the allegations against it. Let us tell you that this investigation of ED is related to the scam of Rs 17000 crore. This includes loans taken from about 20 government and private banks.

ED also found that between 2017-19, Yes Bank had illegally given loans to Anil Ambani’s companies, which were later diverted elsewhere. Investigation revealed that money was sent to the bank promoters before the loan was approved. The allegation is also that many companies got the loan first and the documents were prepared later. There were some cases in which the loan was not even approved, but the money was already transferred.

These are also included in the loan giving banks

Apart from Yes Bank, the banks giving loans to Ambani’s companies include State Bank of India, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Bank of India, UCO Bank and Punjab and Sindh Bank. According to ED information, Reliance Commercial Finance owes more than Rs 8,226 crore, Reliance Home Finance owes more than Rs 5,901 crore and Reliance Communications owes about Rs 4,105 crore.

Anil ambani: Industrialist Anil Ambani’s difficulties are not taking the name of being reduced these days. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has raided RCCO and Anil Ambani related locations in Mumbai on Saturday morning in a bank fraud case of Rs 17,000 crore. CBI officials arrived at Ambani’s residence in CWInd of Cuff Parade at around seven in the morning. According to sources, seven to eight officers have reached the premises and have been searching since then.

First ED and now CBI

Ambani and his family members were present at the residence while searching. This action of the CBI has emerged as a part of the investigation into the alleged loan fraud case, in which the agency Reliance is expanding its investigation into companies associated with the ADA group.

Earlier on August 4, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) took action in the alleged loan fraud case of Rs 17,000 crore linked to Anil Ambani’s companies. A few days after summoning Anil Ambani, the agency issued summons to several top officials for questioning under the Money Laundering Prevention Act (PMLA).

What is the investigating officer finding out?

Investigating officers are investigating the huge loans received by Anil Ambani’s companies from Yes Bank and are also seeing whether the loan amount was transferred to other companies or shell companies of the group.

Anil Ambani had sought 10 days time from the ED to submit documents in the loan fraud case, but the officials say that they have not fully followed it. The investigating officer has intensified his efforts to find out the misuse of the loan taken from the bank. Both CBI and ED are investigating the matter in depth. According to a PTI report, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday registered a case against Reliance Communications as it is being reported that the State Bank of India (SBI) has lost more than Rs 2,000 crore due to this fraud.

Anil ambani loan fraud case: After summoning Reliance Group Chairman and MD Anil Ambani in the case of money laundering, now the Enforcement Directorate (ED) can now call some bankers for questioning.

ED sent letters to banks

According to a report by NDTV Profit, letters have been sent to 12-13 banks from the ED, with the entire process of accepting loans for Reliance Housing Finance, Reliance Communications and Reliance Commercial Finance, the details of action on the process of action taken on the recovery of defaults, defaults and loans have been sought. These banks are expected to include State Bank of India, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, UCO Bank and Punjab and Sindh Bank. If the written reply does not get satisfaction, then the bankers can be summoned and questioned.

Anil Ambani will be questioned on this day

The ED issued a big step in the alleged loan fraud case of Rs 17,000 crore linked to Anil Ambani’s companies and he has been called on 5 August for questioning in the case. Earlier, the ED raided 35 locations associated with Anil Ambani’s Reliance Group in Mumbai. These include about 50 companies and 25 persons.

According to the ED, during the investigation, the relations were detected between the fake bank guarantee of Rs 68.2 crore handed over to the companies of Anil Ambani Group and Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). This fake guarantee was reportedly released in the name of Anil Ambani’s Adag Group companies, Messrs Reliance NU Base Limited and Messrs Maharashtra Energy Generation Limited.

SBI’s fake domain was used

In an attempt to make the fake bank guarantee real, Reliance Group allegedly used fake email domain ‘S-Bi.Co.in’ while mimicking the official SBI Domain ‘sbi.co.in’ during communication with SECI. The ED has also sought a record of National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) domain registration to detect the source and digital footprint of this fake domain.
