CDS General Anil Chauhan said that ‘Operation Sindoor’ is still going on and the forces will have to be in the highest vigilance all the time. He described both arms (weapons) and scripture (knowledge) for war as necessary. On Friday, Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan said that the operation vermilion is still going on, and the army should be ready to be 24×7, 365 days. He emphasized that war is fought not only by weapons, but also by scripture.

He reported that today’s war is a mixture of traditional and modern methods, including both kinetic (weapon-based) and information based strategies. This is the coordination of the war techniques of the first, second and third generation.

Information given in the Parliament of Operation Sindoor
On Thursday, the central government told in Parliament that Operation Sindoor was started on 7 May, which was India’s retaliation after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April. Minister of State for External Affairs in Rajya Sabha Kirti Vardhan Singh said that this operation was focused on destroying the structure of terror and killing the terrorists. India’s action was focused, measured and avoided.

Did Operation Sindoor begin under international pressure?
When the government was asked whether Operation Sindoor was introduced under international pressure, the Ministry of External Affairs clarified that it was India’s spontaneous and concrete response. The government said that Pakistan had tried to attack Indian citizens and military bases, but India’s forces thwarted all major attacks.

Under Operation Sindoor, India destroyed 9 terrorist bases of terrorist organizations like Jaish-e-Mohammed, Hizbul Mujahideen and Lashkar-e-Taiba located in Pakistan and PoK and killed more than 100 terrorists. India also attacked Pakistani airbase and military bases, especially when Pakistan tried to attack Indian military and civilian bases.

After four days of continuous retaliation, the Director General of Military Operations of Pakistan approached the Indian counterpart and proposed a ceasefire. On May 10, the ceasefire between the two countries agreed.
