Recently, while talking to Indian Express, the actor talked about the struggle of his father Surinder Kapoor.

Anil Kapoor said this about his father’s work
Anil Kapoor said, ‘My father was K Asif’s assistant in Mughal-e-Azam. He was a very honest, humble, kind person. K Asim Saab appreciated his honesty. So when he went to Rajasthan to shoot the war scenes which lasted for 6 months, he managed the finance and other production related work.

Anil further said, ‘Later he became Shammi Kapoor’s manager. He used to manage Shammi Kapoor’s work. After this, Geeta Bali, Shammi Kapoor’s wife, encouraged him to become a film producer. Anil said that seeing his father’s struggle had a great impact on him.

Anil said, ‘As a producer, it was very difficult for him to bring stars and heroes. Every film of his was a struggle. I saw him going through difficult times. He used to manage the dates of leading stars. That’s why I thought why don’t I become a hero myself? So that my family does not have to go out and make films.

Talking about Subedar, it will stream on Prime Videos. The film will be released on March 5. Apart from this, Anil Kapoor has two more films in his hands. He will also be seen in Alpha and King. Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh are in lead roles in Alpha. Shahrukh Khan is playing the lead role in King.
