Apple is quietly creating a new Conversational AI system, which the company has named “Answer Engine” inside. These systems will be integrated into apps like Siri, Safari and Spotlight so that the user can get direct answers, without sending it to any web links. Apple’s new team is working on this project, named AKI (Answers, Knowledge and Information). The team is leading Robby Walker, who was earlier in Siri Division.

The biggest drawback of Siri was that he did not directly answer the user, now Apple wants to fix the same. The report also states that the company can also create a separate app which will be based on this AI engine and will also give power to Siri, Safari and Spotlight.

Apple Intelligence that the service is now giving right now has features like Genmoji, Note Samari and Smart Replies, but directly answer elements are missing. Answer Engine is an attempt to fill this gap. The company is also hiring engineers who are specialized in AI and search algorithms so that this project can be carried forward rapidly.

Another major reason behind this project is Apple’s search deal with Google, which has legal pressure in the US. In such a situation, it has become necessary to make Apple his own engine. The company can allegedly roll the system out by the beginning of 2026.

Apple’s Answer Engine is being described as a privacy-focused system, which will run on the company’s server and the user data will not be shared out. This is a big effort to make Siri more smart and to talk, but how successful it will be, it will be known only after the launch.
