<p style="text-align: justify;">Jammu and Kashmir Police, while continuing its major action against terrorism in the region, has achieved a significant success in collaboration with the security forces. A terrorist hideout belonging to the banned terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) has been busted in Nanar Midura area of ​​Awantipora, and a terrorist associate who was providing assistance to the terrorists has also been arrested.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">A police spokesperson said that immediate action was taken after receiving accurate intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in Nanar Midura. The police along with 42 RR and 180 BN CRPF launched a joint cordon and search operation (CASO). During the search operation, an active terrorist associate associated with JeM was identified and arrested. The arrested accused has been identified as Nazir Ahmed Ganai (resident of Ganai Mohalla Nanar, Awantipora).</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Hidden terrorist hideout revealed</strong></h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">After his arrest, based on sustained interrogation and revelations made by Nazir Ahmed Ganai, a terrorist hideout hidden in his gardens was revealed. The security forces immediately destroyed the hideout. During the search of the hideout, security forces found incriminating material, which included 02 hand grenades, 01 detonator and explosive-like items, which were confiscated.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The spokesperson said that this hideout was destroyed on the spot following the prescribed procedure in the presence of the Executive Magistrate.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It has been clarified that the arrested terrorist associate was actively involved in activities like providing logistics support, delivery of arms and ammunition to JeM terrorists operating in Tral and Awantipora areas of Police District Awantipora.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Detailed investigation has been started </strong></h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In this regard, a case under FIR number 257/2025 has been registered under relevant sections of the law at Police Station Awantipora, and further detailed investigation of the matter has been started. This action is being considered a major success for the security forces against terrorism in the area.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Firing started between the two sides on Friday, but firing was stopped at night. The encounter started again on Saturday in which two terrorists were killed. Their group and identity have not been ascertained yet.</p>
