Hindi cinema’s veteran actor Anupam Kher often shares his life experiences and the lessons learned from them on social media. Meanwhile, on Tuesday he shared a video and talked about father-son relationships.

In the video posted on Instagram, Anupam Kher has beautifully explained the relationship between son and father at different stages of age. He told that from childhood to youth and later in life, the way the son looks at his father starts changing. He said in the video, “Today’s title is ‘Never argue with your father’ – At the age of 5 and 7, we think that Papa knows everything. By the age of 10, we start getting a little suspicious of him that perhaps he does not know everything. Then, at the age of 14, we think that Papa does not know anything. At 16, we think that Papa is completely crazy. At 18, we think, ‘Papa never takes any right decision. Can.’

He further wrote that at 25, everything Papa says sounds like nonsense. For the first time in my 30s, I feel, ‘Maybe Papa used to say some things right, we should ask him.’ After 40 years, one wonders how Papa faced so much in his life? At the age of 45, we realize that Papa was always right and by the time we reach 50, we realize that if only Papa were here today, we would have learned something from him. The actor finally said, “Father’s experience is never wrong,” so one should never argue with him, just remain silent or go away from there and never let his honor be harmed, because father knows everything.

In 2020, actor Naseeruddin Shah had called Anupam Kher a ‘joker’ on social media over his pro-government opinion. At that time Anupam Kher had also given a strong reply on X. Now, in a recent conversation with Samdish, Anupam told that Naseeruddin Shah had later apologized to him.

Talking about Naseeruddin Shah, Anupam Kher said, ‘I respect him a lot even today. However, sometimes they say mean things about me. Recently we met, where he apologized to me and said, ‘Sorry, man!’ We met on the death of HD Pathak. When we met there, he hugged me, as I always hug him. I really like him a lot, and he is one of those actors who inspired me to get into acting. But I believe that sometimes he says such things casually.

He further said, ‘I don’t want to say this out loud, but he is a brilliant and intelligent human being, and God has given him a lot of talent. There is no bigger star than him in parallel cinema. Still, I feel that there is some bitterness inside him, which sometimes comes out on me, sometimes on Dilip Kumar, and sometimes on Rajesh Khanna.

Naseeruddin had called Anupam a ‘sycophant’ and ‘joker’
Let us tell you, in an interview in 2020, Naseeruddin Shah had described Anupam Kher as a supporter of the government and called him a ‘sycophant’ and ‘joker’. Regarding Anupam’s pro-government stand on social media, he had said in an interview to ‘The Wire’, ‘People like Anupam Kher speak too much. I don’t think they need to be taken seriously. He is a joker. It’s in their blood, they can’t stop it.

In response to this, Anupam Kher released a long video on X and gave a strong reaction to these comments. He had said, ‘Despite achieving so much success, you have spent your entire life in despair. If you can comment on Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan and Virat Kohli, then I am sure I am in very good company.
