Thailand Cambodia Conflict: Cambodia has made serious allegations against Thailand just hours after US President Donald Trump announced the ceasefire. Cambodia says that despite agreeing to a ceasefire, Thailand continued air strikes on its territory. After these allegations, tension seems to be deepening once again in this sensitive border area of South-East Asia.

Cambodia’s Defense Ministry said in a statement released on the social media platform ‘X’ that the Thai army launched new attacks in its area on Saturday. According to the statement, ‘On December 13, 2025, the Thai military, using two F-16 fighter planes, dropped seven bombs on several locations inside Cambodia.’ The ministry also said that despite the ceasefire announcement, the bombings by Thai military aircraft have not stopped.

No response from Thailand

At present, there has been no official response from the Thai authorities on these allegations of Cambodia. However, due to the already ongoing allegations and counter-allegations between the two countries, the situation has become more sensitive.

Trump had announced ceasefire

Cambodia’s latest allegations have come at a time when US President Donald Trump had announced a day earlier that the leaders of Thailand and Cambodia had agreed to stop hostilities and re-implement the ceasefire. This agreement was reached after several days of deadly clashes, which threatened to break the ceasefire already in place.

Donald Trump had told through social media post that he had separate talks with Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet. He also said that Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim played an important role in making this agreement possible.

The first ceasefire took place in July

It is noteworthy that the first ceasefire between the two countries took place in July, which was decided with the mediation of Malaysia. This agreement was advanced after pressure from Trump, when he warned that business facilities could be withdrawn if the rules were not followed. The agreement was formalized in more detail at a regional meeting in Malaysia in October, which Trump also attended.

According to the report of Bloomberg News Agency, Thailand has said that 10 of its soldiers were killed and dozens were injured in the recent violence. At the same time, Cambodia said that 10 civilians including a child have died and at least 60 people have been injured. However, Cambodia has not shared military casualty figures.

A big controversy has arisen after serving liquor in the presence of Muslim guests at a government dinner in Malaysia. The government led by the Prime Minister of the country Anwar Ibrahim had to resign Tenong King Sing under pressure from the fundamentalists.

About 60 percent of the population of Malaysia is from the Malay-Muslim community. The government is trying to get the support of this community in the upcoming elections. While there is usually no ban on alcohol in Malaysia, there are strict rules regarding it due to being an Islamic country. Earlier, Malaysia had also implemented the law to send those who do not offer prayers to the prayers of Jumme, due to which the pressure of the fundamentalists has increased.

Trying to woo Muslim voters

In the 2022 general election, the Malay-Muslim majority dismissed the multicultural alliance of Anwar Ibrahim and supported the ethnic-nationalist opposition faction. Critics say that Anwar then took several controversial decisions to please the hardcore Islamic voter group, such as removing old temples and promoting the radical nature of Islam in the country.

What is a new controversy

The controversy is related to Tiaong King Sing. He is accused of allowing liquor to serve alcohol in a grand dinner of Global Travel Meet 2025, insulting the Malay-Sancities and Islam. There is a ban on liquor in government programs in Malaysia.

Tiang said that this program was not organized by the private sector, not government and no permission was given by the government. He said, “Tourism was not under the control of Tourism Malaysia in the grand dinner.” Nevertheless, their cleanliness did not succeed in convincing the people. The government’s associate United Malay National Organization (UMNO) also warned against normalizing liquor in government programs.

Strict response of clerics

The UMNO’s Ulema or Maulvi Parishad said that Muslim bureaucrats should avoid drinking alcohol openly in government ceremonies. Mohammad Khairuddin Aman Razali of the council said, “Alcohol is against unhealthy and Islam. The work of the minister can become excuses to normalize liquor among the new generation.”

There may be a deal of billions of rupees between Malaysia and Pakistan, under which a meat of billions of rupees will be sent from Pakistan. Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said this on Monday (October 6, 2025). He is currently on a three -day visit to Malaysia, after reaching here, he praised Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim and said that Malaysia is a second home for him.

According to the report of Pakistani newspaper the Dawn, Shahbaz Sharif said that Anwar Ibrahim has expressed his desire for meat exports from Pakistan. He told that Pakistan can export Malaysia $ 200 million i.e. about 18 billion meat. Shahbaz Sharif said, ‘I will be grateful to you, but I want to tell Malaysia’s importers and officials that this quota of meat exports will be regulated on market values.’

He said, ‘Meat will be exported by Malaysian Customs and Food Authorities on the basis of necessary halal certification. I assure you that we will make all efforts to fulfill your terms and condoms and thus we will not only be able to get a quota of $ 200 million, but will also increase over time. Shahbaz Sharif further said, ‘When I go back from here tomorrow, I will take more information, I will be more impressed and will go back in more confidence.’

Along with Shahbaz Sharif, Pakistani Foreign Minister and Deputy PM Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Union Minister Atullah Tarar and Pakistan PM’s Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi are also visiting Malaysia. Shahbaz Sharif had a bilateral meeting with Anwar Ibrahim in the city of Malaysia, after which both of them held a press conference. Shahbaz Sharif said in the press conference that this is his first visit to Malaysia, but when he arrived here, he found every face known. People saw very warm and harmony among the people.

He said that it felt like meeting the people of Malaysia, as if he has known them for centuries and it is due to the true friendship of both countries. Shahbaz Sharif said that it is like a family reunion for him during him. Talking about the meeting, Shahbaz Sharif said that he had a productive discussion with Anwar Ibrahim and both discussed wide issues related to bilateral relations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Malaysia Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim during the BRICS summit. The two leaders reviewed the progress of relations between India-Malasia and discussed ways to increase investment and business relations.

Prime Minister Modi shared pictures of the meeting with Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim during the BRICS Summit on Social Media Platform X. He wrote in the post, ‘There was a very good meeting with Malaysia Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim during the BRICS summit in Brazil. Malaysia is important for India, it has an important place in our vision ocean and Act East Policy.

He further wrote, ‘We reviewed the progress made in our bilateral relations, including the progress made after Prime Minister Ibrahim’s visit to India last year. Future areas such as IT, renewable energy and infrastructure are areas where bilateral relations are increasing firmly. There was also a discussion on how to improve investment and business relations between our countries.

Earlier, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said in a statement that the BRICS group, which has emerged as a strong and principle power, provides an opportunity to shape more balanced and just international system.

He said that there is a need to improve in old international institutions so that the changing global reality can be shown and the aspirations of developing countries are taken into consideration ‘

The Malaysian Prime Minister said, “I demand major changes in global institutions such as the United Nations, International Monetary Fund, World Bank and World Trade Organization, so that they can show the needs of current reality and developing countries better, not the old World War structures.”

Anwar, who was attending the 17th BRICS summit organized by Brazil, said that the group should strengthen their economic cooperation with member countries and other regional groups like South-East Asian Nations.

He said that BRICS and ASEAN members should further strengthen strategic cooperation, including increasing regional trade and investment for mutual benefits of developing countries. India established diplomatic relations with the Federation of Malaya in 1957.

Malaysia news: The matter of removing a Hindu temple in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, was a cause of controversy. However, Malaysia Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has said that this dispute has been resolved. He described it as a victory of general understanding.

The radicals were not happy with this. He started spreading inflammatory things on social media about the temple-mosque dispute. After this, a Muslim religious leader who used objectionable words against Hindus was arrested.

Know what is the whole matter

There is a dispute over the removal of the 130 -year -old Goddess Shri Pathrakaliamman Temple in Kuala Lumpur. This temple is built on a small but precious land between flats and textile shops in the middle of the city. The rich people of Malaysia were already eyeing this government land. In the year 2014, Malaysia’s large textile company Jachael took this land from the government. Now the company wants to build a mosque here, for which it is being said to remove the temple.

Malaysian government said this

The Malaysian government says that the way has been cleared to remove the Goddess Shri Pathrakaliamman temple from her old place. Now this temple will be built at a new place 50 meters away from its old place and it has been agreed to all the parties. The government claims that this has ended the conversation going on for 11 years. After this agreement, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim laid the foundation stone of a new mosque named ‘Masjid Madni’ in front of television cameras on Thursday.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s statement came out

Malaysia’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said in an event that this is the time to show the intellect and power of Islam for the Muslim community, but to show justice and impartiality. He said, ‘Our victory occurs when we show mercy, justice and good behavior, not hate and bitterness.’

Anwar admitted that on the issue of the temple, he was trapped between the opposing groups of both communities, especially when people were getting more emotional about faith and identity. He said, ‘The radical Muslim groups are accusing me of bowing to the demands of Hindus, while some Hindu extremists are saying that I want to convert everyone into Islam.’

Radical Muslims are angry at this matter

Despite the talk of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, there is tension on social media. Muslim fundamentalists are angry about why new land is being given free of cost to the removal of the temple. He says that this temple was built without any official land in the colonial period, so the government should not give it land elsewhere. A large -scale campaign is being carried out in the entire Malaysia on this issue, which is getting the support of the fundamentalists.

Maulana arrested

Inspector General of Police Rajaruddin Hussain of Kuala Lumpur said that 41 -year -old religious leader Zamri Vinoth has been arrested for a traitorous post in Kangar in the state of Parlis, Northern Malaysia. Rajaruddin said, “The complainant saw the comments made on social media about the transfer of temple and demanded the police to investigate him.” The complaint said that the comments of the religious leader contained elements of treason and Hinduism was maligned.
