The Government of India has launched APAAR ID (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) for students. It is also being called ‘Academic Aadhaar Card’, as all the academic records of the students will be saved in digital form. This ID will be available through Digilocker and ABC (Academic Bank of Credits) portal. Through this, digital copy of marksheet, certificate and degree will always be available, which will eliminate the problem of losing the document.

What is APAAR ID?

Apaar id There is a unique academic identity number, which will be generated for every student. Its purpose is to protect all educational data digital, so that students do not need to submit physical documents repeatedly. This ID will be available to students of school, college and university all levels.

Benefits of Apaar ID

• Digital Document Storage: Marksheet, Certificate and Degree always available online.
• Ease of admission: Repeated document verification will not be required.
• Help in scholarship and job: It will be easy to upload documents in registration and application.
• Credit Transfer Facility: Credits of different courses can be transferred under the National Credit Framework (NCRF).

How to create APAAR ID?

• Digilocker App or ABC Bank Portal Go to
• Verify Aadhaar card.
• Complete registration by entering OTP.
• Now submit the name of the school name, class, courses etc. details.
• APAAR ID will be generated after registration, which can be downloaded.

How to download APAAR ID Card?

• Of ABC Website log onto.
• In the dashboard, find the ‘Apaar Card Download’ option.
• Choose download or print option.

Explain that it is not mandatory to make or register APAAR ID card or register for it. However, registering for this would be a good step for the future for the future and to keep secure and easy access.
