The Government of India has launched APAAR ID (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) for students. It is also being called ‘Academic Aadhaar Card’, as all the academic records of the students will be saved in digital form. This ID will be available through Digilocker and ABC (Academic Bank of Credits) portal. Through this, digital copy of marksheet, certificate and degree will always be available, which will eliminate the problem of losing the document.

Of ABC Website log onto.
In the dashboard, find the ‘Apaar Card Download’ option.

Apaar and Aadhaar: What are their and their purpose?

Aadhaar is a special identity number of 12-nuns issued by the Government of India, which is issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). Its main objective is to provide digital and biometric based identity to citizens, so that government services and subsidy schemes etc. can be availed.
