Vedanta Group’s shares may be down individually after the demerger of the companies under the company’s restructuring plan, but the shareholders who held Vedanta shares till the record date, have received 1-1 share of the four new demerged companies for free for each share held. The combined value of these five companies is now higher than before demerger.
