Samsung continues to lead the index’s new cellphone ranking with 81 points, while Apple is in second place with 80 points. Last year there was a tie between the two companies. If we look at the overall phone industry score, it has increased by one percent to 79 percent. In 2025, it saw a huge decline of 4 percent and reached its lowest level in a decade.

What does user satisfaction mean?

According to the report, when the new features available in the phone start being used in the daily life of the users without any problem, then the satisfaction increases. This time, for the first time, AI features have also been included in the ranking and it has got a score of 85. This means that users are not only aware of AI features but they are also using them for their work.

Users are most happy with these models

Talking about new models, Samsung’s latest Galaxy S26 series models were found to be the most satisfied with Honor 84 points. After this, new iPhone users stood second with 82 points and people using Google’s flagship model stood third with 80 points. According to the ranking, people are happier with new flagship models than old and foldable phones.

Samsung ahead in foldable segment, but also keeping an eye on Apple

According to this report, Samsung is also at the forefront in the foldable phone segment and has got 80th position in the ranking. After this, Google is at second place with 72 points and Motorola is at third place with 70 points. According to the report, the dynamics can change completely after Apple’s entry in this segment.
