In the last few years, the popularity of tools associated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) has increased rapidly. India has become the second largest market for the number of users for the Chatgpt, which has a large stake in this segment. Openai, who operates Chatgpt, has reported that its number of users in the country has almost been almost tripled.

CEO of American company Openai, Sam Altman, says that India should join the leading countries of AI revolution. In a meeting with IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Altman praised the AI’s rapid increase in the country. “I think India should join the leading countries with AI revolution,” he said. Vaishnaw said in a post on social media platform X that he has had a great discussion with Altman on India’s strategy to make AI Stack – GPUS, model and apps. He told that Openai is ready to help all three.

Openai is also facing legal difficulties in India. Prior to India, Altman traveled to South Korea and Japan. Openai has also had a big deal with Japan’s SoftBank Group. Vaishnaw said at a meeting with Altman, “India sent a mission to a much lower cost on the Moon than other countries. We cannot prepare a model because the cost is much less than others.”

However, the central government’s attitude towards AI tools in the country is strict. The Finance Ministry has asked its employees to avoid these AI tools in view of the risk of government documents and data confidentiality. In a report by Reuters, this information was given by the internal advisory issued by the Finance Ministry. The advisory states, “Office computers and devices have a risk for documents and privacy of data from AI apps (eg chatgpt, Deepsek).” Countries like Australia and Italy have also imposed restrictions on the use of Deepsek due to risk for security of data.

American technology company Alphabet INC, which operates internet search engine Google, has got great relief...

American technology company Alphabet INC, which operates internet search engine Google, has got great relief in India. The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has reduced the fine of Rs 936 crore on this company to about Rs 220 crore in the case related to the antitrust.

About three years ago, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) found the policy related to Google’s Play Store wrong in an investigation. Because of this the company was fined. CCI found Google guilty of misusing its dominance in Android mobile device ecosystem and online search market.

In this case, the CCI order was asked to change the way of marketing Android from the company. However, the company said that making major changes in Android mobile platforms would be difficult. About 97 percent of smartphones in India run on Android and it is a big market for Google. The CCI had directed the company that it should not impose any condition on the app developers which are unfair or discriminated against. No reason for this has been given as to why the company is taking 11-26 percent commission even after using the user’s third-party processing service.

Google had changed the way of billing for app developers. The company had said that if a user pays through an alternative billing system, then the service fees of Google Play will be reduced by four percent. With this, even if Google’s service is not used, the app developers will be forced to pay the commission to the company. In this regard, the policy think tank AdIF, a policy think tank related to digital startups, said that Google is completely violating the CCI order. A similar investigation has been made against Apple, which makes popular smartphones like iPhone. It is allegedly related to misuse of the dominated situation in the company’s apps market. Apple was alleged to have compelled the developers to use his properite in-app purchasing system due to its strong position in the apps market. For this, up to 30 percent fees were being charged from developers.
<!--

Apple, one of the big technology and devices companies, has taken a big step to improve its App Store. In the last few days, the company has banned more than 1,35,000 apps at the app store. The developers of these apps failed to give trader information. With the increase in the popularity of apps in the last few years, the cases of fraud have increased through them.

Techcrunch Report According to, Apple has told on its website that apps related to traders without traders in the European Union (EU) have been removed from the app store. These apps were not giving information about their address, phone number and email to consumers. Under the new Rules of EU, it is necessary to give information about your ‘trader status’ for the app developers. Earlier, Apple had warned the app developers that if they did not provide information about trader status by 17 February, they would be banned from the app store. After this, the company has initiated this action.

Apple has stated that the trader’s contact information includes the address, phone number and the email address that the traders have to make available to the Apple to post on the product page of the app store. After verifying this, the company publishes this information on the trader’s app.

Recently, many VPN apps have been removed from the company’s App Store and Google’s Play Store in India. The central government had made rules related to collecting and storing the data of customers for VPN service providers two years ago. After these rules, many VPN providers closed their physical services in the country. However, they are providing service to their customers. The Ministry of Home Affairs issued an order to Google and Apple asking to remove several VPN apps from the Play Store and App Store. The VPN apps removed from the app stores of these companies include the app of the American company Cloudflare. Apart from this, apps like X-VPN and Privadovpn have also been removed.
<!--

The popularity of Unified Payments Interface (UPI) has increased rapidly over the years. Consciousness fees will have to be paid on paying the bill through credit and debit cards on Google Pay, which provides UPI payments facilities. Earlier, there was a service of three rupees for mobile recharge on Google Pay.

A media Report According to this, for the payment of bills like electricity, water and gas on this platform, besides Goods and Services Tax (GST), you will have to pay the consumers fees. This fee will be from 0.5 percent to 1 percent of the value of transaction. It is being called ‘processing fees’ for credit and debit card transactions. Other UPI platforms like Paytm and PhonePe also charge such fees. This fee on Paytm is between Rs 1 and Rs 40. This fee on PhonePe ranges from 0.5 percent to 1 percent of the value of transaction.

In January this year, about 17 billion UPI payments have been made in the country. The total value of these payments was about Rs 23.48 lakh crore. This is an increase of about one percent as compared to December last year. Transactions reached around 16.73 billion in December through UPI. In December, the total value of transactions through UPI was about Rs 23.25 lakh crore. In the previous month, this figure was about 21.55 lakh crore rupees. In December, the average value of these transactions per day was around Rs 74,990 crore.

Last year, NPCI launched the UPI One World Wallet Service for non-resident Indians (NRI) and the country’s visiting international travelers. This will provide the facility to access the UPI by accessing the UPI who do not have an Indian bank account. NPCI has started this with IDFC First Bank and Transcorp International Limited under the guidance of Service Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The NPCI had said that the visitors of the country will be able to make digital payments safely to merchants with UPI One World Wallet. For this, foreign travelers and NRI will need to download a prepaid payment instrument-UPI app.
<!--

OLA and Uber, which provide cab services through the app, is being investigated for allegations of allegations of separate fare from customers using iPhone and Android devices. In response to the questions raised in the Lok Sabha, the government has given this information on Wednesday.

Consumer Affairs Minister, Pralhad Joshi said that both these cab service companies have denied allegations of separate pricing strategy based on the device. Ola and Uber have given this information in response to the letter sent by the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA). Joshi said that due to the denial of the allegations of these two companies, the matter has been sent to DG (Investigation) for detailed investigation. Lok Sabha MPs Balashowry Vallabhaneni and Ravindra Vasantrao Chavan sought information from the government on measures to solve the problem of alleged difference in fare from the cab service companies from the government.

The case came to light when Localcircles revealed that customers are allegedly being charged from customers for similar rides booked through iPhone and Android devices. In the survey of Localcircles, more than 33,000 answers were taken from users using cabs through the app. It was revealed that alleged business methods are being used in this segment. In this survey, a large number of users had told that the fares increase by adjusting their pickup location. In some cases this increase ranges from 100 to 200 rupees.

Joshi said that under the Consumer Protection (e-commerce) rules, companies having online platforms are prohibited from earning profits by imposing unfair price for customers. These companies cannot violate their rights by discriminating between customer customers or arbitrarily classification of customers. In October last year, CCPA gave a show cause notice to large electric two-wheeler maker Ola Electric for alleged violations of consumers’ rights, misleading advertisements and unfair business methods. The CCPA had initially investigated a large number of complaints against Ola Electric.
<!--
