Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday (November 6, 2025) said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi should be ‘ashamed’ for saying that he knows the caste and religion of army personnel. Addressing election rallies in Bihar’s Madhubani, West Champaran and Motihari districts, Shah said ‘illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators’ were snatching the country’s jobs and posing a security threat. He said that Bihar Assembly elections are the election to ‘free the state from infiltrators’.

Senior BJP leader Shah said, ‘Rahul Gandhi should be ashamed of talking about knowing the caste and religion of army personnel. In our army, no soldier is discriminated against on the basis of caste or religion.

It is noteworthy that while addressing public meetings in Bihar on Tuesday, Rahul Gandhi had said that ‘backward castes, tribals and minorities have very little representation in the private sector, judiciary, bureaucracy and armed forces, while 10 percent people control these institutions.’

These allegations were made against RJD
Shah alleged that during the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) rule, ‘incidents of murder, massacre and rape were common.’ He said that there is ‘no room for any muscleman’ in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government. He said, ‘Prime Minister Narendra Modi created ‘Makhana Board’. If Lalu and company come to power, they will create ‘Ghuspaithiya Ghusao Board’.

‘Jungle Raj’ and infiltration issue in Bihar
Shah said that only the Narendra Modi-Nitish Kumar duo can do the work of stopping the return of ‘Jungle Raj’ in Bihar. He alleged that Lalu Prasad and Rahul Gandhi are trying to ‘open the way for infiltrators’ in the state. Taking aim at the Grand Alliance, he said, ‘If this ‘thugbandhan’ comes to power, Champaran will turn into ‘mini Chambal’. He said, ‘Bihar had fought against Indira Gandhi’s corruption, opposed the Emergency, but now Congress is trying to rule the state with the help of RJD.’

Shah also said that ‘Neither Lalu Prasad nor Rahul Gandhi, anyone has the power to stop the construction of the grand Sita temple in Sitamarhi in two and a half years.’ The Home Minister said that if NDA comes back to power, a new airport will be built in Champaran, closed sugar mills of the area will be revived through cooperative societies and special schemes will be started for the Tharu community. He told that there is a plan to open a new medical college in Motihari and Rs 100 crore will be spent on the revival of Baba Someshwarnath temple at Areraj.
