A major accident occurred due to an explosion and fire in a bar during the New Year celebrations in Switzerland’s famous city of Crans-Montana. Many people died in this accident, while many others are said to be seriously injured. There was chaos in the area after the accident.

According to Wallace Canton Police, during New Year’s Eve celebrations, one or more explosions took place in a bar named ‘Le Constellation’ in Cross-Montana, after which a massive fire broke out there. This fire broke out at around 1:30 in the night. A large number of people were present in the bar at that time.

Police spokesperson issued statement
Police spokesman Gaetan Lathian told AFP that the cause of the explosion was not clear at the moment. He said that many people have been injured in this incident and the death of many people has been confirmed. As soon as information about the accident was received, a large number of relief and rescue teams reached the spot. Several ambulances were deployed, while the help of Air-Glaciers helicopters was also taken to take the injured to the hospital. Fire fighters worked hard to control the fire.

Helpline number released
The police has issued a helpline number 0848 112 117 for the families of the victims. Also, it has been announced that a press conference will be organized at 10 am to give information about the matter.

Hand of external forces behind Ladakh performance- Kavinder Gupta

Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta also clarified that the administration is investigating the matter thoroughly. LG said that about 90 people have been injured in violent incidents so far. 19 of these are still undergoing treatment. He said that many people have suffered minor injuries while some have been admitted due to serious injuries. Gupta expressed confidence that the situation of all the injured will soon become normal and they will be discharged from the hospital. The administration has taken strict steps to maintain peace. Section 163 has been implemented in Ladakh and instructions have also been directed to close the precautionary school-colleges.
