The life of Aryan Asari, who made the first live video of the plane crash in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, changed completely after this accident. 18 year old Aryan was an ordinary school student till a year ago, who had never seen an airplane so closely, but today he is known as ‘Aeroplane Boy’ in the village and surrounding areas. The reason for this is that video itself.

Aryan had spontaneously recorded the last moments of the Air India plane that crashed in Ahmedabad on June 12 last year. 260 people died in this accident. Because of this video, Aryan is known as ‘Aeroplane Boy’ but this identity has also brought with it a mental burden.

Aryan’s life changed after the plane accident

Aryan says that after that day he has not made any video of any plane and till now he has not been able to muster the courage to travel by plane himself. Aryan said, “I had gone to Ahmedabad for the first time and saw the plane from such close proximity. To show it to my friends, I took out my mobile and started making a video of it.”

Standing on the terrace of his father’s rented house near the airport in Meghaninagar area of ​​Ahmedabad, Aryan was attracted by the plane flying below. But, within moments, a simple video became a document of a major tragedy. He said, suddenly the plane started coming down and then turned into a big ball of fire. I was badly scared. I never thought that something like this could happen in front of my eyes.

Aryan himself had captured the video of the accident

Aryan had reached Ahmedabad on the morning of the accident to meet his father Magan Asari. Retired soldier Magan Asari was working as a security guard at a metro station at that time. This visit of Aryan was also for the purpose of purchasing textbooks after taking admission in class 12. But, within hours of reaching the city, he witnessed one of the country’s worst plane crashes.

His video quickly circulated on social media and television channels. After the video went viral, representatives of various media organizations went to his father’s house and Aryan gave interviews to many news channels.

Aryan said, “Recently I went to a wedding. Many people there asked me if I was the same ‘aeroplane boy’. I said, yes.” The fear of that incident still remains in his mind. After this incident he stopped making videos of planes on his mobile. Now I am afraid that if I make a video of any plane, it may also crash.

This fear is not limited to making videos only. Like many youth in rural Gujarat, Aryan also dreams of going abroad in the future, but the idea of ​​air travel still scares him. He said, I want to go abroad in the future, but I have not been able to muster the courage to board a plane yet.
