Professor Ali Khan Mahmudabad: The district court sent Professor Ali Khan Mahmudabad of the University of Sonepat, Haryana to judicial custody. The next hearing of the case is 27 May. Professor Ali Khan was arrested from Delhi.

In fact, two separate cases have been registered against Professor Ali Khan Mahmudabad in cases of ‘Operation Sindoor’ and disputed comments made on the women officers of the army. The first case was registered against the Professor by the sarpanch of village Jatdi. In this, a case was registered under sections 196, 197, 152 and 299 of the Indian Code (BNS).

The second case was registered on the complaint of Haryana Women’s Commission Chairman Renu Bhatia, alleging controversial remarks on social media and disregarding the notice of the Commission. In this case, the police have registered a case under sections 353, 79, 152 and 169 (1) of BNS. DCP Kadian said that the matter is being investigated intensively and other facts are being collected by questioning Professor Ali.
