Terrorism should be eradicated. India should take strict action against terrorism, the game should continue there.”

Sourav Ganguly’s statement comes at a time when the demand for cancellation of the entire Asia Cup is gaining momentum, not only India vs Pakistan. In this case, he caught fire when the statement of Danish Kaneria came to light. He set the example of the World Championship of Legends, in which several Indian players, including Shikhar Dhawan and Harbhajan Singh, refused to play against Pakistan, which is why WCL organizers had to cancel the Indo-Pak match. Now a few days later, Danish Kaneria has taunted India’s decision to play with Pakistan in the Asia Cup.

In view of the preparations for the 2026 T20 World Cup, the Asia Cup 2025 will also be played in T20 format. The tournament will be played till September 9-28, in which a total of 8 teams including India and Pakistan will be participating.

UAE is hosting the 17th edition of the Asia Cup. The tournament will begin on September 9 and the final will be played on 28 September. The entire schedule of Asia Cup (Asia Cup 2025 Schedule) has been released, in which a total of 8 teams will participate. This is the first time that 8 teams are participating in the Asia Cup, which are divided into two groups. There are four teams in each group.

Group A has India, Pakistan, Oman and UAE. At the same time, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Hong Kong have been kept in Group B. Four teams present in each group will play each other once.
