Assam Assembly Election: The political atmosphere has started to heat up for the next year’s Assam assembly elections. The state has a BJP government for the last 10 years and Chief Minister Himant Biswa Sarma is also preparing to return to power this time. But the Congress has also launched a big bet. Condition in CM race

According to the survey, there is a very close match between Himant Biswa Sarma and Gaurav Gogoi for the post of Chief Minister. 46% of the people want to see Himanta Biswa Sarma again, while 45% of the people want to assign this responsibility to Gaurav Gogoi. The major reason for this collision is the caste and religious balance of Assam, in which the Muslim population is considered to be around 34-40%. This is the reason that the vote blocks of both sides are almost seen on par.

There is anti -incumbency, but not trusting the option

In the survey, 50% of the people appeared dissatisfied with the current government. 36% very angry and 14% angry, but when asked which party is better for the development of Assam, then 50% people chose BJP and 40% of Congress. It is clear that despite resentment, there is a feeling of stability about BJP.

People angry with the MLA, but not from the party

The most interesting part of the survey came to light when people were asked if they would like to change their current MLA. 75% of the people said yes, but 40% of these people are those who are only angry with the MLA and not the party.

Loss of Congress without AIUDF

In 2021 there was an alliance of Congress and AIUDF, which led to a difference of only 1.5% between BJP and Congress vote share. But in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, this alliance broke and BJP got a 10% lead. If the Congress does not go with AIUDF even in the assembly elections, then the BJP’s path may be easy. However, the Congress is seen in a position to compete without AIUDF.

Assam Tamil Nadu Biennial Elections: The Election Commission has announced the date of by -elections in Tamil Nadu and Assam. Elections will be held on June 19 for Assam’s 2 and Tamil Nadu’s 6 Rajya Sabha seats. The Election Commission has also shared information about the date of counting. He has also mentioned the election seats in his press release. Everything has been told from the date of notification till the date of counting.

Elections will be held in Assam 2 and 6 Rajya Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu. Assam’s missions Ranjan Das and Birendra Prasad Vaishya are retiring on 14 June. At the same time, Tamil Nadu’s Anbumani Ramdos, M. Shanmugam, N. Chandrasekaran, M. Mohammad Abdullah, P. Wilson and Thiru Vaiko are retiring on July 24.

When will counting

The notification of the election to be held in Assam and Tamil Nadu will be released on June 2 (Monday). The last date for nomination is 9 June (Monday). Nomination will be scrutiny by June 10 (Tuesday). If a candidate wants to withdraw his name, he will be able to do so by June 12. The election will be held on June 19. At the same time, counting will also be held on June 19.
