TN MRB has fixed some essential educational qualifications for the post of Assistant Surgeon. The applying candidate must have MBBS degree. Apart from this, the candidate should be registered with Tamil Nadu Medical Council. Besides, CRRI i.e. House Surgeon’s certificate is also necessary.

In this recruitment, the maximum age for general category candidates has been fixed at 37 years. At the same time, reserved categories will get the benefit of age relaxation as per government rules.

This recruitment of TN MRB is also very attractive in terms of salary. Candidates selected under Pay Level-22 will get a salary ranging from Rs 56,100 to Rs 2,05,700 per month. Apart from this, you will also get medical allowance, house rent, promotion and other benefits.

Selection in this recruitment will be done through two stages. The first stage is Computer Based Test (CBT). In this, the medical knowledge and understanding of related subjects of the candidates will be tested. The second stage is document verification, in which all the necessary certificates of the candidate will be checked. Final selection will take place only after both the stages are completed.

To apply, candidates will have to deposit the fee as per category. The application fee for General, OBC and EWS category candidates is Rs 1000. Whereas for SC, ST and PwBD category candidates the fee has been fixed at Rs 500.
