Shubhanshu Shukla is coming to Lucknow for the first time

Lucknow -born Shubhanshu is an experienced pilot of the Indian Air Force. He joined the Axiom-4 mission and became the first Indian to step at the space station. During the mission, he conducted more than 60 scientific experiments and joined students around the world.

After returning to India, he presented Prime Minister Modi a tricolor and mission patch brought from space, which was a emotional moment for the whole country. Now in this sequence, Shubhanshu is reaching Lucknow on Monday and the Yogi government has taken an important decision of his honor on this occasion.

Today is a historic for India. Indian Air Force Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla will leave for space from the International Space Station (ISS) today. This is the first time an Indian scientist is becoming a part of ISS like high -tech space mission.

According to media reports, Shubhanshu will neither get salary per hour during this mission, nor any separate honorarium. Rather, the cost of this entire mission is being borne by the Government of India itself. According to the information, India has paid up to Rs 548 crore for this mission to American private space company Axiom Space. The same amount is being spent on Shubhanshu’s training, travel, space suit, research kit and other important resources.

The mission will be for so many days

This mission of Shubhanshu will be about 14 days, in which he will stay in space and take part in about 60 scientific experiments. These experiments include microgravity affecting the human body, space food testing, bio -research and examining the techniques required for the future.

Shubhanshu Shukla hails from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He has studied at NDA and has done M.Tech from the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. He became a pilot in the Indian Air Force in 2006 and has experience of flying fighter jets for more than 2000 hours so far. He was selected for India’s Gaganyaan Mission in 2019 and under this he received difficult training in Russia and India.

Mission was averted earlier

Earlier this mission was averted for some reasons. But now on Wednesday, Shubhanshu and his other companions will leave for space.
