Eclipse is considered a special astronomical event. According to science, when the Moon comes between the Sun and the Earth and it prevents partial or completely sunlight from coming to the earth, then this phenomenon is called solar eclipse. The same lunar eclipse appears when the earth comes in the middle of the moon and the sun and the earth stops the light coming from the Sun, which causes shadow on the moon. Due to this shade, the moon starts to appear very blurred. Many times the color of the moon is also red. This is called lunar eclipse.

Ancient beliefs of eclipse

Eclipse may be considered a rare astronomical event from the perspective of science. But there are different beliefs in different ancient civilizations regarding lunar eclipse and solar eclipse. Many beliefs are considered to be true from ancient times till today. But before science, people had only spiritual beliefs and interpretations about the sun and lunar eclipse.

In ancient Greece, it is believed that when the gods are angry, solar eclipse occurs and it is also considered a sign of evil events. At the same time, the ancient China considers the sun and the lunar eclipse as a divine sign of forecasting the future of the emperor. Similarly, there are many beliefs about eclipse worldwide including civilizations like ancient America, West Africa, Italy Egypt, ancient India and Inca, which you will be surprised to know.

Surprised beliefs of seven cultures

Indian Hindu tradition- In the Hindu mythology, the interpretation of the sun and lunar eclipse is found in the legend, which is associated with the churning of the sea. According to the legend, a demon named Swarbhanu wanted to drink the nectar of the gods with deceit and became immortal by drinking nectar. But the Sun and Moon recognized him and told Lord Vishnu about his deceit, after which Vishnu cut the head of that demon from the Suradhan Chakra. But he survived due to drinking nectar. His body became two parts. One part is called Rahu and one part Ketu. It is believed that his immortal head, continuously chasing the sun, sometimes (Amavasya) would catch it and swallow, but then the sun appears immediately. Similarly, the melody of the demon tries to get the moon out of the full moon night, due to which the lunar eclipse occurs.

native American- Ozibwa and Kri are a popular story that a boy named Tsikabis avenged the sun to burn him. Despite his sister’s opposition, he trapped the Sun into a trap, which led to the eclipse. Many animals tried to free the sun from the net, but a small rat could bring the ropes back to its way.

ancient China- There was such a common belief among the people in ancient China about solar eclipse that solar eclipse occurs when a celestial dragon attacks the sun and swallows it. The ancient inscriptions of Chinese eclipse have been written that ‘Sun has been swallowed’. At that time, people used to make loud sounds by playing drums at the time of eclipse to protect the sun from the dragon and to drive away it. People believed that, after this noise, the sun returned forever. But lunar eclipse was considered normal in the ancient Chinese tradition.

Italy- In Italy, it is believed that flowers planted during solar eclipse are more bright and colorful than the flowers planted at any other time of the year.

South America- The people of South America worship the Surya (Inti) deity as a powerful deity. But in the state of eclipse, the Sun was considered a symbol of anger and unhappiness. Therefore, after the eclipse, people used to try to find out due to the wrath of Inti and decide which sacrifice should be given.

West African- Benin and Togo of West Africa considered the eclipse as an opportunity to resolve mutual differences. According to his mythology, man anger and fight spread to the Sun and Moon. Therefore, the Sun and Moon also started fighting among themselves, due to which the eclipse started. Therefore, during the eclipse, the people of Batamaliba promote peace by resolving old quarrels and differences.

ancient Egypt- There is no clear description of solar eclipse by the ancient Egyptians. But according to some scholars, the incident of eclipse may have been left unwritten due to some reason so that the incident cannot be made permanent to some extent.

Eclipse is a very rare and historical event for astronomers. Also, it is a chance of enthusiasm for astronomers, when they see a rare view in the sky. By the way, eclipses take place every year, in which some partials are complete. But just think that, when the sun disappears during the day and darkness becomes in the whole world, then how will it be.

Of course it will be shocking and also filling with enthusiasm. You can only feel imagined to hear this. But this is not a fantasy but a reality and such an eclipse incident definitely happens once in the century. You will get to see a similar view, when there will be darkness all around for 6 minutes 23 seconds. We are all going to witness this amazing solar eclipse soon. According to scientists and space.com, this solar eclipse is considered to be the longest full eclipse between 1991 and 2114. Let us know when the longest solar eclipse of the century will be seen and where it will be seen.

When will be the longest solar eclipse of the century

For the long solar eclipse of the century, you will have to wait for two years at the moment, because this full solar eclipse will take place on 2 August 2027. But this eclipse has already remained a topic of discussion around its extraordinary long time. Usually full solar eclipse also takes place for less than 3 minutes, but this eclipse on 2027 will break the records of all eclipse of the century. It is obvious that where this eclipse will be visible, the people of the place will take such an experience in their lifetime which will be like the Lifetime Experience for them.

Will Indians be able to see a long solar eclipse of the century

According to Indian time, the eclipse will take place at 3.34 pm and will end at 53 in the evening. Indians are not complete but will definitely be able to see partial solar eclipse. If the weather is clear, in some cities, 4:30 people will see the eclipse.

Eclipse will also be seen in India as well as North Africa and Middle East, including North Morocco, Algeria, Southern Tunisia, North East Libya, Luxor, South-West Saudi Arabia, some areas of Yemen and parts of Egypt.

Venus kiss astronomical event: The night of Saturday 22 March will witness a wonderful astronomical phenomenon, when Venus will pass between the Earth and the Sun. This astronomical phenomenon is called inferior convention. In this, Earth and Venus planets come in a line, but it is difficult to see it without special equipment or binoculars.

Michelle Nichols, a scientist at Chicago -based Adler Observatory, said that this astronomical event takes place every 19 months, when Venus, Earth and Sun fall in a line. It is also called Venus kiss. During this time, at around 9 o’clock in the night, the planet Venus will be closest to the Earth, but it can be seen only through binoculars.

What will this view look like
When the planet Venus is close to the Earth, it appears as a thin chants line. Due to the strong light of the sun, it is difficult to see it with common eyes. However, after the conjunction phenomenon is over, the planet Venus can be seen before sunrise early.

How to see this amazing view?
To see the planet Venus, you will need binoculars or special astronomical equipment.
During the incident, it will be difficult to see the planet Venus due to the strong light of the Sun, so it is necessary to take care.
The planet Venus can be seen in the sky before sunrise.

This is a unique opportunity
This is a unique opportunity for those interested in astronomy. Such incidents introduce us to the amazing mysteries of the universe and give our space science a chance to understand more deeply. If you are a space lover, do not miss this astronomical event. It can be risky to see this event without powerful telescopes and special solar filters. Looking at the sun can cause severe damage to the eyes, so it is very important to take care while trying to see it.
