Aviation News: There is a war going on between Iran and US since February. The effect of which is being seen in many countries around the world. The situation is such that oil, gas and operational industries are being hit by inflation. Fuel prices are increasing, passenger numbers are decreasing, gas prices are increasing. In this way, this war is having a deep impact on every industry. There is a lot of fighting especially in the aviation industry.

The condition of aviation industry is bad
Aviation industry was performing very well in the last few years, this sector was getting a lot of boom. But due to the Iran war, the pace of this sector has come to a slight halt. These days many domestic and international airlines are going through difficult times. In such a situation, flights of many important airlines are being reduced. At the same time, the number of passengers is also being seen less on many important routes.

Also read: Hormuz Crisis: War flares up again between Iran and America, Hormuz is completely closed, know what effect it will have on your pocket now?

The biggest decline occurred on these routes
Seats at five of the country’s nine busiest airports have decreased in the first quarter of financial year 2027 as compared to last year. According to data from UK aviation analytics company OAG, the biggest decline has occurred on these routes:

There has been a reduction of 3.57 million seats in Hyderabad, due to which the maximum decline of 12% has been recorded.

Seats in Chennai have reached 2.48 million and there has been a decrease of 8%.

A decline of 2-3% was seen in Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Kolkata.

There was no change in Guwahati and Bengaluru.

So there has been an increase of 9.6% in Delhi and 6% in Pune.

Also read: Gold Price: Amid rising prices in India, know in which countries the cheapest gold is available, why there is this difference.

Effect of expensive ATF
Just as the prices of petrol and diesel are increasing across the country, similarly the prices of jet fuel i.e. ATF are also increasing. Due to which the flights have been reduced. Due to increase in fuel prices, flight fares have also been increased. This is also a big reason due to which passengers are avoiding traveling by flight. When the number of passengers is less, then the airlines also have less cost for maintenance, in such a situation there is no option left except canceling the flights.

Let us tell you that according to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), between February and June, ATF prices have seen an increase of more than 52% globally. After which it became $146.25 per barrel.

Flight Ticket News: Government oil companies have increased the price of aviation turbine fuel by about 10 percent from Tuesday, June 9. The price of ATF in Delhi has increased from Rs 1 lakh 4 thousand 927 per kilo liter to Rs 1 lakh 15 thousand 927 per kilo liter.

Recently, the government has also implemented a price stabilization scheme, which promises to protect domestic airlines from fluctuations in global oil prices for the next three years, but some important questions are also being raised regarding this scheme.

earthquake in oil market due to west asia crisis

Due to the West Asia crisis, the price of ATF in the international market jumped from Rs 60.50 per liter in March 2026 to Rs 142 per liter in May 2026, i.e. almost two and a half times.

ATF accounts for about 40 percent of an airline’s total operating costs and can go up to 60 percent during periods of extreme volatility. This shock had badly shaken the budget of all the airlines like Indigo, Air India and Akasa.

Sell gold and deposit all your money in the bank, PM Modi appealed to women? Know what PIB told

What is Price Stabilization Scheme?

The Central Government has created an ATF Price Stabilization Fund of Rs 10 thousand crores. Under this, interest-free advance funds will be given to government oil companies so that they can provide fuel to domestic airlines at a stable rate. Airlines participating in the scheme will be able to buy fuel from oil companies at fixed rates for a maximum of three years.

The FOB benchmark price has been fixed at Rs 86.32 per litre. After adding airport charges, oil company margin and tax, the actual rate in Delhi becomes Rs 115 per liter. Whenever the price in the international market goes above this benchmark, the government will compensate the oil companies for that loss. The government will get that amount back when prices come down.

Relief to airlines, passengers wait

Air India, Indigo and Akasa have welcomed this step. Airlines say this will help them in cost planning, but the question that matters most is will air tickets be cheaper? The answer to this is currently no.

Experts say that this scheme will do more to prevent future sudden increase in tickets than making tickets cheaper. This means that passengers who are buying expensive tickets today should not expect immediate relief.

Loss of Rs 30 on diesel, Rs 6 on petrol, government’s latest statement increased tension

Is the scheme voluntary? this is the biggest question

The biggest weakness of this entire scheme is that it is completely voluntary. Airlines which will not participate in this will continue to buy fuel at the market rate i.e. around Rs 142 per litre, the same rate that is applicable to international airlines.

If any big airline decides to stay out of this scheme, then the cost burden will remain on it and its tickets may remain expensive. On the other hand, if international prices fall, airlines outside the scheme will benefit, while airlines included in the scheme will remain stuck at the fixed rate of Rs 115.

How much burden on OMCs?

It is also worth keeping in mind that government oil companies are already under pressure. Apart from ATF, they are also burdened with under recovery in petrol, diesel and LPG. This advance fund of Rs 10,000 crore will provide immediate relief to OMCs, but it will work only as long as global prices remain high. If the crisis continues for a long time, it remains to be seen whether this corpus will be sufficient or not.

The government says that this step will maintain air connectivity in the country and protect the jobs of about 77 lakh people who are associated with the aviation ecosystem, but the real test will be when the airlines decide whether they join this scheme or not.

Amidst the worldwide oil crisis, the Indian government has taken a big decision and reduced the export duty on petrol and diesel. The Modi government at the Center said on Saturday (May 30) that export duty on petrol, diesel and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) will be reduced from June 1. According to news agency Reuters, the export duty on petrol has been fixed at Rs 1.5 per liter, while on diesel it will be Rs 13.5 per liter, while the export duty on ATF has been kept at Rs 9.5 per liter.

Review takes place every 15 days
Rates are changing every fortnight (two week period). These changes are decided on the average worldwide prices of crude oil, petrol, diesel and ATF. Usually, the government reviews the oil prices in the international market every fortnight and accordingly the export duty on petrol, diesel and ATF is decided.

However, the same old tax will be levied on petrol and diesel supplied to the common people, nothing new has been added or subtracted from it. Let us tell you that export duty is a kind of indirect tax which the government of any country imposes on the goods sent out of its country (to other countries).

When was the last amendment made?
Export duties in the form of Special Additional Excise Duty (SAED) and Road and Infrastructure Cess (RIC) on exports of petrol, diesel and ATF were first implemented on March 27, 2026. The government said the measure was aimed at ensuring adequate domestic supply of petroleum products in the face of excessive exports, at a time when global energy markets were being affected by the ongoing conflict in West Asia. Officials said that the fee is reviewed and revised every fortnight based on the current conditions of the international market. The previous amendment came into effect from May 16, 2026.

New rates effective from June 1
There will be a duty of Rs 1.5 per liter on export of petrol. This entire amount will be collected as special additional excise duty, while Road and Infrastructure Cess will not be levied. Modi government has fixed the export duty for aviation turbine fuel at Rs 9.5 per liter. This fee will be collected only as special additional excise duty. The revised rates will remain in effect for the next fortnight until the next review and changes are announced.

Air India: The country’s two largest airlines – IndiGo and Air India are going to cancel about 250 of their domestic flights daily from June. The reason behind this is the skyrocketing prices of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF- Jet Fuel) and decline in travel demand. This is putting pressure on the functioning of the airlines.

This reduction in flights is expected to continue from June to August, i.e. even in the summer months. Generally between June and August, the demand for air travel decreases after the summer holidays in schools end. Airlines companies are taking this step to balance this decrease in demand and increased expenditure on fuel. In such a situation, if your flight gets canceled in the meantime, you will be given the option of free date change, alternative route or full refund.

Record jump in jet fuel

Amidst the war between America and Iran and the ongoing tension in the Middle East, the supply of crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz has been affected. Due to this, the price of jet fuel (ATF) has increased from Rs 80000 per kilometer to Rs 1 lakh per kilometer in many cities of India. Due to this, fuel has become costlier by about 25% for domestic flights and by almost 100% for international routes.

Which airlines are reducing flights by how much?

Air India is cutting its domestic flights by about 22% during June and July. The airline operates around 500 domestic flights daily, and this cut would mean around 110 fewer flights per day and around 800 less per week.

Similarly, Indigo is also going to cut its domestic flights by 5-7% and international flights by 17%. Including these two, approximately 250 flights will be canceled daily between June and August.

ATF Tax Update: A very good news has come out for the Indian aviation sector. Indian Airlines have got a big relief after Delhi and Maharashtra governments reduced the tax on aviation fuel (ATF) to 7%. According to financial institution HSBC, this decision will lead to huge savings of up to ₹ 1,500 crore for airline companies. Along with this, the Maharashtra government has directly reduced the VAT on aviation fuel from 18% to 7%. This decision is very significant because airports like Delhi, Mumbai and Nagpur handle about 37% of the total domestic air traffic of the country.

Airlines will get big benefits

The country’s largest airline, IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation) is going to get the biggest benefit of this tax cut. According to HSBC estimates, IndiGo can make direct savings of ₹ 1,200 crore to ₹ 1,500 crore in its fuel bill. Similarly, Air India will also get a huge relief of around ₹800 crore to ₹1,000 crore. Apart from this, Akasa Air with new fleet may save ₹200 crore to ₹300 crore and SpiceJet which is facing financial crisis may save ₹100 crore to ₹200 crore.

Will the rupee cross a century against the dollar? Opinions of 5 experts differed from each other, what was the result?

Share Rating and Market Outlook

HSBC has maintained its ‘Buy’ rating on IndiGo shares and has set its target price at ₹5,210, which represents an upside of about 21% from its current price. On the other hand, considering the internal financial condition of SpiceJet, it has been given a ‘Reduce’ rating and its target price has been kept at ₹5.30. Market analysts are now waiting for IndiGo’s upcoming fourth quarter results and the ‘Analyst Day’ to be held in June, where the company will unveil its future plans.

Amidst its good news, HSBC has warned that even though the governments have reduced the taxes, but if the prices of crude oil increase in the international market or the Indian Rupee weakens against the dollar, then this relief may be less. For example, if jet fuel prices increase by even just 5% globally, IndiGo’s operating profit (EBITDA) could fall by 11.1%. Similarly, a fall of just Re 1 in the rupee against the dollar can give a blow of about ₹ 450 crore to IndiGo.

Petrol-Diesel Export Tax Update: Every time there is a change in the rules related to petrol and diesel, the first question that comes in people’s mind is whether it will affect their pockets or not. In such a situation, now the government has changed the export duty of petrol, diesel and ATF, hence it is very important to understand it.

By issuing a new notification on Friday, May 15, the Central Government has again changed the rates of Special Additional Excise Duty (SAED) on the export of petrol, diesel and aviation fuel i.e. ATF. These new rates have come into effect from 16 May 2026. But it is a matter of relief that this will not affect the prices of petrol and diesel sold in the domestic market.

One country-two worlds! Tax of Rs 1 in Andaman and Rs 35 in Telangana, arbitrariness of states on petrol and diesel.

What are the new rates?

According to the new notification, now Rs 3 per liter SAED will be charged on export of petrol.

Whereas diesel will cost Rs 16.5 per litre.

If we talk about ATF, it will cost Rs 16 per litre.

At present, Road and Infrasructure Cess i.e. RIC has been kept at zero on all three.

What is SAED and how does it work?

SAED is a kind of additional excise charge, which is decided by the government every two weeks based on the average prices of crude oil and fuel in the international market. When oil prices increase in the global market, refineries get more profits in exports. In such a situation, companies start selling more fuel abroad instead of in the domestic market.

This may affect the supply in the country. To prevent this situation, the government imposes SAED, so that exports become expensive and domestic supply remains intact. This system was implemented from 27 March 2026. The government had imposed this charge for the first time to ensure domestic fuel supply amid Middle East tension.

How many days does it take for a check to clear in the bank? What are the rules of RBI for this, know

What were the rates earlier?

Let us tell you that in April, when the price of crude oil in the international market had crossed $ 120 per barrel, the government had increased the SAED on diesel to Rs 55.5 per liter and that on ATF to Rs 42 per liter. After this, when the prices softened a bit on May 1, it was reduced to Rs 23 per liter on diesel and Rs 33 per liter on ATF. Now, after another cut on May 16, diesel has come down to Rs 16.5 and ATF to Rs 16 per litre.

Charge imposed on petrol for the first time

Talking about the biggest change this time, for the first time, Rs 3 per liter SAED has been imposed on the export of petrol, because till now there was no charge on petrol export, but the government also included it in the scope because even after a slight softening in the prices of crude oil, export still remains a profitable deal for the refineries. The government believes that this will improve the availability of fuel in the domestic market.

Petrol-Diesel Price: The ongoing tension in the Middle East is affecting many countries. Whenever the prices of petrol and diesel change, the first thing it impacts is the monthly budget of the common man. In such a situation, on Friday i.e. on May 16, the price of petrol and diesel in India was increased by Rs 3 per liter, while in the meantime the government of neighboring country Pakistan has reduced the prices of petrol and diesel. This news has now sparked a new discussion among the people.

By how much rupees did petrol and diesel become cheaper in Pakistan?

Pakistan government has reduced the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 5 per liter. After the cut, the price of petrol there has become Rs 409.78 per litre. The price of high-speed diesel has increased to Rs 409.58 per litre. The Pakistan government has been reviewing petroleum prices every Friday night since the US-Israel-Iran war started on February 28.

Petrol prices increased, now the government has imposed a tax of Rs 3, will this make your pocket loose or not? know everything

Last week, the government had increased petrol by Rs 14.92 per liter and diesel by Rs 15 per liter. After the start of the war, petrol and diesel were made costlier by Rs 55 per liter for the first time on March 6. After this, on March 9, the government also took some big decisions to reduce expenditure.

Petrol and diesel became costlier by Rs 3 in India

Government oil companies in India have changed the prices of petrol and diesel after four years. On Friday, the prices of both the fuels were increased by Rs 3 per liter. Petrol and diesel prices were stable from April 2022. However, before the Lok Sabha elections in March 2024, both the fuels were cut by Rs 2 per liter.

Prices increased less in India compared to other countries

Even after the global oil crisis, the increase in prices of petrol and diesel in India has been less than in many big countries. According to the report, petrol in Myanmar became costlier by 89.7 percent and diesel by 112.7 percent. Apart from this, fuel prices increased by 40 percent to 80 percent in Malaysia, Pakistan, UAE and America. At the same time, petrol and diesel have become increasingly expensive in Sri Lanka, Canada, Britain and France. It means clearly that in comparison to this, petrol has become costlier in India by only 3.2 percent and diesel by 3.2 percent.

Now the government is preparing to abolish this tax! Who will get the benefit and how? may be approved soon

The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has warned Pakistan that it has been removed from the gray list in October 2022, it does not mean that now terrorists have got freedom for funding and money laundering. FATF clearly said that continuous monitoring against terrorists will continue.

New way of funding through digital wallet

Recently, Pakistan’s terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed has started collecting funds through e-wallets. According to the information, digital wallets like Easypaisa and Sadapay are being used to deposit money in the accounts of Masood Azhar and his family.

According to FATF, terrorists now take support from their family members. They create accounts in the name of women so that not much money is deposited in a single account and the large amount can be gradually collected and used to build new camps for terrorists.

Pretense of religious and educational institutions

FATF warned that terrorist organizations are often collecting funds by posing as religious or educational institutions. Its purpose is to enable them to continue their activities without being monitored.

What did the President of FATF say?

FATF President Elisa de Anda Madrazo said that earlier also there had been many reports that terrorists were using e-wallets. He said, “Even after removing Pakistan from the gray list, its activities are being monitored. Pakistan is not a direct member of FATF, but is a member of the Asia-Pacific Group, hence follow-up is done through it.”

He also clarified that if a country is removed from the gray list, it does not mean that that country gets protection for criminal activities. The job of FATF is to keep an eye on the funding network of terrorists across the world.

India had attacked many targets in Operation Sindoor.

India had recently destroyed Jaish-e-Mohammed hideouts during Operation Sindoor. After this, the terrorists took the help of e-wallet to collect money by avoiding FATF monitoring.

An Air India passenger plane has crashed in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The accident occurred immediately after the take-off and the aircraft fell in the residential area. A total of 242 people were aboard the aircraft. In which 241 people became aware. But what happens that it happens soon after the crash? Don’t even get a maika to escape? Let’s know …

The aircraft needs this fuel

Just as petrol is needed to drive the vehicle, the aircraft requires jet fuel (aviation turbine fuel) to fly. In such a situation, a large amount of ATF storage is provided in long distance flight aircraft. Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, which was a victim of an accident in Ahmedabad, had about 1.25 million liters of fuel. While this fuel produces energy to fly the aircraft, it also becomes the biggest danger in any untoward time.

How does the reason for Mait become?

During the crash, the plane turns into fire shells. This is because the jet fuel is leaked from the aircraft. Due to which it catches fire rapidly. This was also seen in the Ahmedabad accident. When the aircraft came down rapidly after some time after the take off, the fire became a fireball after hitting. Due to the jet fuel, the fire was so severe that the passengers sitting in the aircraft were burnt. The residential blessings on which the aircraft fell also burnt completely.

How dangerous is jet fuel?

Fuel used in aircraft is called jet fuel, which is most flammable. According to a report, it can burn at 38-72 ° C. It can cause problems in breathing, headache, dizziness etc. Initiation, radio and chemical burn can occur when exposed to the skin. This happens when the fuel is not on fire. If it catches fire, it can be very dangerous. Recently, pictures of Ahmedabad Plain Crash were going to give people’s spirit. When a plane became a fireball shortly after the flight. After this, people were scared to see the bodies recovered. The body was so burnt in such a way that it was being difficult to identify.

Falling from height also becomes the reason for Mait

The fall of the aircraft from height also causes Mait. Even after falling down the aircraft, the fire is not caught, but even after that it can be killed. The aircraft falls rapidly from a height of several feet. This can cause serious injuries to the body and can also cause Mait.
