Earlier many banks considered withdrawing cash using UPI in ATM as a separate transaction, but now in the new rule it will be added to your free monthly limit. Banks like HDFC Bank and Punjab National Bank (PNB) have announced these new rules.

In such a situation, if you withdraw cash from ATM more times than the free transaction limit given by the bank, then the bank will charge you a fee of up to Rs 23 for every extra transaction. Till now this bank provides the facility to withdraw cash from its ATM 5 times a month for free. For ATMs of other banks, the facility to withdraw free cash is given 3 times in metro cities and 5 times in non-metro cities.
