The accused of ATM robbery were killed in an encounter in Ghaziabad. There was a reward of Rs 1 lakh each on accused Zubair and Sameer. According to Ghaziabad Police, Rs 27 lakh was looted from the ATM. Both were absconding after the incident. Two-three policemen including SI have been injured in the encounter. The encounter took place in Wave City police station area. The robbery was committed on May 6. ₹700000, vehicle and illegal weapons have been recovered from their possession.

The accused had opened fire on the cash van of India One. After this, they took the driver out and drove away with the van. There were Rs 27 lakh in that van. Two accused Mohammad Kaif and Mohammad Rizwan were also arrested in this case. A total of four people were involved in this robbery.

Police recovered Rs 8 lakh cash

The matter pertains to National Highway-9 on 6th May. Before the encounter of accused Zubair and Sameer, Rizwan and Mohd. Kaif was arrested. The police had also announced a reward for the criminals killed. It is being told that the age of these accused is between 20 to 25 years. Police have seized Rs 8.06 lakh from them.

Police investigation revealed that a total of 4 miscreants were involved in this incident. They took the driver out of the van at gunpoint and stole the van. The miscreants took this ATM van further 8 kilometers away and left it abandoned there. The van was found on the expressway in Mussoorie police station area.

Had fired at police to escape

DCP Dhawal Jaiswal informed that two accused were sent to jail from whom Rs 8 lakh was recovered. The remaining four accused were declared wanted and a reward of Rs 1 lakh was announced on them. Police had received information through an informer that these accused had been seen. The team immediately cordoned off the area and started checking by installing barriers. In this sequence, those miscreants were seen coming to the police.

To escape, the miscreants fired at the police team. In self-defence, the police team also fired on them, in which two miscreants were shot. He was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. From there he was referred to another hospital. Doctors declared him dead. The remaining two miscreants escaped. At present, the police have recovered another Rs 9 lakh, pistols, pistols, cartridges and a car.
