HDFC Bank has made these changes

HDFC Bank has decided to link UPI based ATM cash withdrawal with the free ATM transaction limit. That means, after crossing the limit, customers will have to pay extra on every ATM transaction. The new rules are going to come into effect from April 1, 2026.

Under the new rules, after the free limit is over, customers will have to pay tax of Rs 23 on every additional ATM transaction. HDFC Bank has fixed the limit of free transactions at 3 in metro cities and 5 in non-metro cities. After which this charge will be applicable on every transaction made.

PNB reduced ATM withdrawal limit

Punjab National Bank is going to reduce the cash withdrawal limit on some of its debit cards from April 1. According to the new rule, where earlier customers could withdraw up to Rs 1 lakh in a day. At the same time, now it has been decided to reduce this limit to Rs 50,000. This rule will be applicable to selected debit cards.

Apart from this, the bank has also reduced the daily withdrawal limit of some of its premium cards. Earlier, up to Rs 1.5 lakh could be withdrawn from these cards. But now this limit has been increased to Rs 75,000.

Bandhan Bank also changed ATM rules

Bandhan Bank has also changed the rules related to ATM transactions for its customers. Now customers will be able to do only 5 free financial transactions in a month at the bank’s own ATM.

Whereas from ATMs of other banks this limit has been reduced to 3. After crossing the prescribed limit, a charge of Rs 23 will be taken on every additional transaction.
