Shiva Kachi, head of the NGOs, who raised voice for the welfare and rights of minorities, especially Hindus, said that the woman was kidnapped, then she was forcibly confessed to Islam and she was married to a Muslim person named Shahbaz Khashkheli.

Now we will turn to the court. ”The woman’s husband told that last week Shahbaz Khakkheli and his people abducted his wife from the house. He said, “Two days later, he took him to a religious place and converted him and got him confessed to Islam and then Khashkheli married him without his will or consent.” Is this justice with minorities in Pakistan? ”

Shock on religious freedom
The issue of conversion in Pakistan has been controversial for years. The incidents of forcibly converting minor and married Hindu women and getting married in particular are becoming common. International human rights organizations have also raised this issue many times, but no concrete steps have been taken by the Government of Pakistan. In 2019, a bill was introduced against forcible conversion in Sindh Assembly, but it was rejected under pressure from radical forces.
