Audi has issued a recall after receiving information about technical faults in some models of its premium electric SUV Q8 eTron in the Indian market. According to media reports, an important problem has emerged in the brake system of this vehicle, which can cause problems during driving. Taking this matter seriously, the company has decided to recall the affected units. This step has been taken keeping in mind the safety of the customers, so that any possible danger can be avoided. Actually, Audi vehicles are known for their quality, hence the company takes immediate action in such cases.

What is the fault in the brake system?

According to reports, a problem has been found in the bolted connection of the brake servo push rod in the Audi Q8 eTron. Over time, this connection can become loose, causing improper coordination between the brake pedal and the brake system. If this problem worsens, the driver may face difficulty in applying brakes. Although the company says that the possibility of complete loss of connection is very less, but still it cannot be ignored for security. In this situation it may be difficult to maintain control of the car.

How many vehicles have been affected?

According to the information, about 207 units in India have been found affected by this problem. All these vehicles were manufactured between February 2, 2018 and June 11, 2024. Although this number is not high, but keeping safety in mind, the company has issued a recall for all the affected vehicles. This makes it clear that Audi does not want to compromise on the safety of its customers.

What should customers do?

Customers whose vehicles are included in this recall are being informed by the company. Such customers will have to take their car to the nearest Audi service centre. The vehicle will be thoroughly checked at the service center and if any defect is found, the concerned part will be replaced at no extra cost. This entire process has been kept free for the customers, so that they do not face any kind of problem.
