Both the countries signed a new agreement to increase cooperation on Rare Earths and Critical Minerals, which is considered a big step towards reducing dependence on China. Another important aspect of this meeting was that the Trump administration is currently reviewing the AUKUS defense agreement, which includes the US, Australia and Britain.
