Aurangzeb tomb: There has been a demand to remove the grave of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb once again in Maharashtra. Minister Sanjay Shirsat, while targeting Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi, said that he is the child of Aurangzeb. They should get a grave in their house.

At the same time, Shiv Sena Shinde faction MLA Shirsat said that the city where the grave of the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb is located, will be renamed from Khuldabad to Ratnapur. In this regard, Sanjay Shirsat will meet Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and formally present this demand after a cabinet meeting today (Tuesday, April 8).

Where is Aurangzeb’s grave located?

Chhatrapati is the tomb of Aurangzeb in Khuldabad, about 25 km from the city of Sambhajinagar. The graves of Aurangzeb, his son Azam Shah, Nizam Asaf Jah and many others are located in this area. Recently, the movement started regarding this.

Many organizations including many ministers of Maharashtra, VHP and Bajrang Dal raised and demonstrated. However, after the violence in Nagpur, the voice of this slowed down.

What did Devendra Fadnavis say?

Then Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had clarified that this grave is a protected monument and cannot be removed, as well as said that Aurangzeb would not be allowed to be glorified.

Shirsat also said last month, “There is no place in Maharashtra for the tomb of the cruel Emperor Aurangzeb, who harasses and killing Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.”

Shirsat said that Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar was earlier known as Khadi and later its name was changed to Aurangabad.

The Shiv Sena leader said, “Similarly Khuldabad was earlier known as Ratnapur. The names of many places were changed during Aurangzeb’s reign. We are going to change the name of Khuldabad to Ratnapur.

Government will form memorial

The patron minister of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district said, “We are in the process of changing the names of all the places in which ‘later’ (eg Auranga ‘). Ratnapur was changed to Khuldabad during Aurangzeb’s reign.

Shirsat said that the government wants to build a memorial there (in Khuldabad) in which the history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his son Sambhaji Maharaj will be displayed.

Aurangzeb tomb: At present, politics has been hot over the tomb of Aurangzeb across the country. Surendra Gupta, leader of Delhi Unit of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), has also expressed his opinion on this issue. Surendra Gupta also went to see Humayun’s tomb.

After seeing Humayun’s tomb, Surendra Gupta told what is the reason behind his arrival here. He says that he has come here so that we can see how big the tomb is. Has it been told about the kings and emperors of that period at that place. He said that he also wanted to see how this place suddenly got involved in controversies.

VHP will prepare the report after inspection

Surendra Gupta says that VHP will inspect these places and prepare a report regarding this. That report will be presented to the media. Along with this, about the process of changing the names of places, he said that there is no harm in this. However, he also said that it is not right to change the name of the place named after a person.

Should tell about the great men of the entire period

Surendra Gupta said that it is not appropriate to limit history in the name of only one person. He said that the entire period should be preserved, in which he should also include all the kings and men of the period, heroes, great men, social and religious leaders.

‘Our responsibility to tell the upcoming generation history’

The VHP leader said that it is the responsibility of every person to tell the coming generation correct history. On the contrary, it is unfair to place only invaders in history. People came from outside and kept suppressing, but those who struggle and sacrifice in history should also be given full respect. He alleged that some political parties are trying to create a stressful situation in the society by creating unnecessary controversies.
