He clearly said that before talking about creating a Hindu nation, we will have to become Hindus, whereas in today’s situation we are not even able to become Hindus properly.”

Angry over changing the name of PMO

Shankaracharya also appeared angry when the PMO was named ‘Sevatirtha’. He said, “What kind of water is there in the Prime Minister’s residence, in which bathing will wash away sins? People will go there wearing leather shoes, meat will also be eaten, in such a situation the word ‘Tirtha’ should be removed.” He warned that there will be an agitation on this issue and if necessary, the court will also be approached.

Government cornered on infiltration issue
