There were reports that Ranbir Kapoor will be in the lead role in ‘Dhoom 4’.

According to the report of Bollywood Hungama, Ayan Mukherjee has admitted that films like ‘War 2’ and ‘Dhoom 4’ are not for him. The report quoted the source as saying – ‘Ayaan believes that films like ‘War 2’ and ‘Dhoom 4′ were never made for him and he wants to do something bigger with scope for romance, drama, spectacle and storytelling.’

Regarding ‘War 2’, it is further written in the report – ‘Ayaan was just following what was written on Sridhar Raghavan’s paper and he did not have much influence on the script and screenplay. He does not want to go on another journey of just Amal, because he is a passionate filmmaker who loves to work only on written content and present something more on screen than what is written. Both Aditya Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor understood Ayaan’s point of view and parted ways at the right time.
