In such a situation, a reconsideration petition can be filed on the basis of his argument. In 2019, a constitutional bench of five judges of the Supreme Court ruled in the case of Ram temple. In that bench, Tatkali Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Justice S.A. Bobde, Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice Abdul Nazir were included.

What did the Supreme Court say in the verdict,

The Supreme Court had said in its judgment that the Muslim side has failed to prove that they have had a uninterrupted ownership at the Babri Masjid place. With this, the Supreme Court ruled with a majority on the Ram temple case, after which the construction of the temple has now been completed.

My statement is being seen incorrectly- Chandrachud

However, after a dispute over his statement, former Chief Justice DY Chandrachud has also given cleanliness. He said that his statement has been presented incorrectly. He said that the decision on Ram temple was given on the basis of evidence and legal principles and not on the basis of faith.

What does the law say?

According to the 2015 amendment to the Uttar Pradesh Stamp Act (originally passed in 1997), the collector of each district can amend the land prices every year in August. In this amendment, land use, irrigation availability, roads, markets, transport centers, factories, schools, hospitals, proximity to government offices and land in the city or in the village are taken into consideration. Ayodhya is one of the 54 districts of Uttar Pradesh where the circle rate was last revised in 2017. The rates in 21 districts were revised in 2023.
