A Kashmir resident, who was detained for allegedly trying to offer Namaz in the Ram temple complex in Ayodhya, has been handed over to his family by the police after he was found to be ‘mentally ill’. Superintendent of Police (City) Chakrapani Tripathi said that the family of the detained person Ahmed Shaikh had claimed that he was mentally ill.

SP said that they had also shown his medical reports as evidence. After this, Sheikh was handed over to his family on Sunday (11 January 2026). He told that Sheikh is a resident of Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Karsevak Santosh Dubey, who was in the front line of the 1992 movement, became emotional regarding the grand flag hoisting program to be held in Ayodhya.
