Aghori Sadhaks rise above the fear of life and death and perform Sadhana. Their objective is to become free from duality and realize Advaita.

1. Purity and restraint

During Sadhana, the seeker has to adopt a virtuous lifestyle –

• distance from negative thoughts

2. Importance of Guru Diksha

The role of Guru is considered very important in Tantra and secret practices.

It is said in the scriptures –

‘Only Gurmukhi mantra is proved.’

This means that the mantra is considered fully effective only when received from the Guru.

3. Chanting and meditation

Special times are often chosen for sadhana like –

The seeker chants and meditates while sitting on a black, kusha or silk seat so that his energy remains stable.
