Babar Azam flopped again

Babar Azam’s poor form continued in the first Test against South Africa, he scored 23 runs in 48 balls with the help of 4 fours. Under his captaincy, Pakistan could not even go till the Super-8 of the 2024 T20 World Cup and had to face defeat at the hands of USA. Prior to that, the Pak team’s performance in the 2023 ODI World Cup was disappointing. In October 2024, he finally resigned from the captaincy of T20 and ODI team.

Babar Azam last played an international T20 match in December 2024. After that the Pak team has played four T20 series, from which Babar Azam has been kept out. Now the Asia Cup 2025 is also to be played in T20 format and Babur can hardly make it to the Asia Cup squad due to poor form and figures. Her ODI average used to be more than 59 at one time, but now she has fallen to 54.
